The 1233 acre Merrymeeting Lake is one of the cleanest lakes in NH. Clarity (visibility) in the lake is typically over 30 feet. The lake is primarily spring fed and has a maximum depth of 135 feet. This is a prime fishing lake for lake trout, rainbow trout, landlocked salmon and small mouth bass along with plenty of bluegills (natives call them kibbies) to the delight of the youngest fishermen in your family. Swimming, boating, sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking or just floating on a raft can be found in front of the 120 foot frontage with a sunny southern exposure. Just relax as you lounge or have a meal or beverage on the deck, or take in the sun on the lawn chairs or spread a blanket out on the lawn or the docks. There are umbrellas to provide shade for those who need to get out of the sun. There is also a marina on the lake for watercraft needing gasoline or a family's quick access to a ice cream treat or liquid refreshments.
The lake house is located near the end of a quiet road on a peninsula. It is just a 15 minute drive to a Hannaford's grocery store, MacDonald's, a gas station, a hardware store, a breakfast/lunch restaurant and a pizza/sub shop. It is just a 15 minute drive to Alton Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee to access the M/S Mount Washington to cruise the big lake. Many local and regional attractions and events are easily driven to taking anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours for family fun: Wright Museum of WWII, Story Land, Santa's Village, Gunstock Mountain Resort, Clark's Trading Post, White Mountains National Forest, the Kancamagus Highway, The Flume, Lost River, Mount Washington Cog Railway, shopping outlets in Conway, NH and Maine ocean beaches, and many more attractions and events.
The lake house has a master bedroom with a queen size bed and two bureaus and a walk-in closet and is adjacent to the bathroom accessed by the hallway. The hallway also leads to the open concept area containing the living room where there is a full sized couch, a love seat and a chair that faces the television. The open concept area also has a porch area containing a queen size pullout sofa bed and a chair and coffee table. The second bedroom contains two queen size beds and two bureaus with a privacy curtain to separate the sleeping areas. Adjacent to the porch and living room is the dinning area consisting of four bar stool chairs on the backside of the kitchen islands. The kitchen is equipped with full size sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, electric stove/oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and cabinets containing dishes, glasses, cups, utensils, cooking pots and pans, dishtowels, cutting boards, blender, toaster, etc. The kitchen slider opens to a patio and stairs to the parking area. The patio area has a charcoal grill, a bar stool height oval table with umbrella and four swivel chairs and a clothesline. From the porch slider you step onto an 8'x16' deck with a glass top table, umbrella and four chairs. Step off the deck onto the lawn with a 120 foot frontage with two entrances to the lake. There are two flotation pontoon docks attached by a ramp to the land. The furthest out pontoon dock is 24 feet long and can have watercraft tied to either side. At the end of that pontoon dock there is a ladder going into the lake for swimmer access to the dock. At the end of that dock the water depth is 12 to 15 deep (depending on lake level at the time) providing safe depth for diving and jumping off the dock.
