Mews Cottage is a delightful family holiday cottage set just yards from the popular beach front at Aldwick, Bognor Regis. Mews Cottage is a listed building and dates back to the 1840s. It is located on the prestigious Marine Parade estate, with its historic seafront Victorian Villas. The gated private estate offers the benefits of off road parking, beautiful views of the sea from the communal gardens and direct access to the seafront. The original seafront croquet lawn can now be used to sunbathe and enjoy the views of the coast or watch the on-goings of the neighbouring yacht club. It's great to watch the sailing and wind/kite-surfing or take to the water yourself if you're feeling active!
On the ground floor of the cottage is a good sized kitchen with built-in cooker, fridge, freezer and washing machine. In addition, there is a small utility room and WC. The living room has a dining area with seating available for 6 to eat at and there is also the sitting room area with TV/DVD. Wi-fi internet access is also available.
The first floor of the cottage has 3 bedrooms. There is a double bedroom, a room with twin single beds, as well as a bunk bed room. (Please note, the twin single beds are 6 foot beds). There is also a stylish bathroom on the first floor with a shower over the bath, wash basin and toilet. A travel cot is available at the cottage, as well as a high chair.
Outside, there is a small patio area to the front of the cottage. A wide path, private to the residents of the road, leads directly to the beach and the popular seafront promenade, running all the way from Aldwick to the far end of the village of Felpham to the east. There is also a seafront garden lawn, again private to the residents of the road, which can be used by guests at the cottage. Parking is available very close to the cottage on the private gravelled road.
This detached cottage was absolutely perfect for myself, daughter and grandaughter. The location was superb, about 25 yards from the beach, yet close to the small stores, pubs and, & postoffice at Aldwick. It had been recently renovated, Was extremely clean and the booking agency was very helpful. i will be happy to rent the property again, hopefully next year.
Excellent position so close to the beach. Would recommend.Wicker sofa in lounge had a broken back leg- would suggest this is repaired or removed. Royal Oak in Lagness is excellent for dinner - about a 20 min drive away.
Amazing location, sweet cottage - with modern kitchen, well stocked with kids plates etc. really comfortable beds. A super find - we are already rebooked for July.
