Beautifully finished apartment 5 minutes’ drive from Amandola. This newly converted 300-year-old stable accommodation in a traditional farmhouse retains many original features. The 90-square metre south-facing private garden terrace has stunning views of lake and mountains. It has table and chairs for al fresco dining and garden loungers for relaxing. It is completely fenced in and is safe for young children.This is the only apartment on the property so privacy is guaranteed. There is free Wifi internet. Great base for walkers/hikers/bikers. 40 minutes from Adriatic beaches/designer outlet shopping.

The apartment is arranged on one level, with two shallow steps leading into it from the front door. With thick external walls, it is naturally very cool in summer and warm in winter (there is an underfloor heating system for the cooler months). There is a 5.5-metre/18-ft above-ground swimming pool located on a separate terrace – perfect for cooling down after a long day’s sightseeing.

There are two double en-suite bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed, the other with 2 twin beds (this can be replaced by a king-size bed, if requested). The en-suite to the main bedroom has bath and separate walk-in shower; the second ensuite is a shower room. We can put an extra bed or cot in the main bedroom, if requested.

The living area is bright and comfortable with a DVD player and iPod dock and a selection of books (in English), games and DVDs. The well-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, full oven and hob and a microwave. The dining table can seat up to six. There is a small valuables safe in the main bedroom. Insect screens have been fitted on all the windows.

All household linens and towels are provided, as well as pool/beach towels. Towels and bedlinen are changed weekly.

The fenced south-facing private garden terrace with shaded eating area is surrounded by acres of lush farmland and has wonderful views of the mountains and the nearby lake. Our guests are also welcome to use the rest of the garden.

There are plenty of activities nearby, including horse-riding, canoeing and hiking.

Lovely property in beautiful surroundings

A really nice property, ideal for a family, with stunning views all around. The owners are friendly, charming and extremely helpful. We had a great time, and the kids loved the pool in the garden. Some pretty towns nearby and nice restaurants, such as the Dei Priori in Monte San Martino. For hikers the Monte Sibillini offer a range of climbs and walks. Loved it!

A gem in the Marche

This is a delightful, comfortable and well-equipped property with gorgeous views to the mountains, just a few minutes from Amandola, which offers a good ranges of services and shops. Fiona and Carel are wonderful hosts - kind and thoughtful and full of helpful suggestions. The area is a revelation - wild mountains that will beckon any hill walker, charming historic towns and villages including Ascoli Piceno, and rolling countryside set to vines and vegetables. And practically no tourists. We loved everything about La Mirabella, especially the dawn birdsong and the fireflies at night - and the kitten!

The place surpasses all expectations: kitchen equipped for family use, nice bed and bath rooms, lovely space outside in the shade of some trees or in the sunshine if you want to sunbathe, nice views on lake and mountains, ...

There is no need at all of airconditioning, as the walls are thick and the trees prevent the sun to warm the bedrooms.(and there was a stroke of heat the time we were there!!)

If you want to spend relaxing holidays La Mirabella is the place to be.

Shops are within reasonable distance, and all surrounding townships are worth visiting.

Carel and Fiona are friendly hosts, always ready for help or to answer any question.

We spent the best holidays of the last 5 years. Our little grandson (16 months) and his parents stayed there too, and they also appreciated much all little details that made life so easy over there.

Don't hesitate to book this place, Le Marche in general is an area that isn't spoilt by floods of tourists.

A high quality, lovely peaceful place to stay

This is a real gem. From the moment we arrived this apartment it lived up to our expectations and the descriptions from the web site. Spacious, clean and basic provisions provided in the kichen, along with shower gel in the high spec ensuit bathrooms for each bedroom. Very comfortable beds.

We stayed with friends for the first four days and sat out most nights watching firefly's in the garden. The views of hill towns, farms and the lake at the rear of the property were beautiful as were the mountains at the frount of the house. We were free to us all of the grounds not just our private garden. It's defiantly a place to relax.

Fiona and Carel were brilliant hosts, just the right of mix of looking after us but also giving us privacy. They changed the bed linen when our friends left so we could use both bedrooms. Towels were changed often, especially when it rained for a couple of days. Nothing was too much trouble. We really felt looked after. They were very knowledgable about the area.

We know the area well, having stayed a few times before but this apartment was the best we have stayed in. You do need a car. Just a few minutes from Amandola, the local town, with supermarkets, shops and resturants. Cafe Belli is a great place to sit at any time and people watch. Best coffee and snacks with wine too. Bella Napoli made wonderful pizza and were very reasonably priced. La Concha in Smerrillo, part of the slow food movement, where we ate twice and had a cookery lesson is a must to visit. You need to be hungry! Le Loggi in Smerrillo serves good food on an outside terrace with views all round.

Exploring the numerous hill towns with friendly locals, churches often with ancient frescos is a must. The Modona Del Ambro, Montimonacho with a bar overlooking the valleys, a great place to sit and enjoy the meats and cheeses of the area. There are a number of hill towns with stunning views over the Siblini mountains. There is much to discover in this realativlt quiet area of Italy. Truffles are available in thus area and appear in much of the food.

To sum up, of the many times we have been to Italy, this has been our best experience all round. Thank you Fiona and Carel. You went over and above our expectations and we really appreciated that. We highly recommend this apartment.

A Charming Apartment La Mirabella

I've plenty of experience of different accommondations in various countries, La Mirabella in Amandola's been the most nice one, positively!

There was a lot of space for three persons. The rooms were comfortable, cozy, well polished and clean.

Having breakfast in the beautiful garden in sunshine or in the shade of trees we enjoyed the stunning, diverse landscape. The environment was so tranquil and relaxing.

Fiona and Carel were attractive, friendly, solicitous and helpful hosts.

We couldn't have hoped for anything more of this marvelous place. We would recommend La Mirabella for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday!

An amazing stay!

We were so impressed with everything to do with our stay. From the moment we arrived, Carel and Fiona made us feel very welcome and at home. We had everything we could possibly need in the apartment and the quality and attention to detail was second to none. We had a very relaxing and uplifting few days and would really recommend a stay here in Amandola.

The apartment is set in the rolling foothills of the Sibillini mountain range, a short drive from the National Park, with its opportunities for walking, hiking and lake swimming. Horse-riding, canoeing, pedal-boating, and gentle walks by the lake and river are 2 minutes away. Amandola has good clay tennis courts that can be pre-booked and a new gym (no membership necessary – you can purchase vouchers for as many visits as you wish). The local wineries encourage wine-tasting visits, and truffle-hunting (in season) can be arranged. There are excellent restaurants nearby, many of them in the beautiful hilltop towns that abound in the area. In the summer season there are food festivals almost every weekend, and you can take in the atmosphere at the many medieval and jousting festivals. There are examples of Renaissance art around every corner, and there are many opportunities to enjoy music and opera. If you just want to relax and chill out, you can watch the world go by over a coffee or prosecco, and visit the local markets.

Check-in is after 4.00 pm on the day of arrival, and guests must vacate the apartment by 10.00 am on the day of their departure, unless otherwise arranged. We are happy to facilitate earlier arrivals and later departures if we have no guests departing/arriving on the same day. In high season, the changeover day is usually Saturday, although we are happy to facilitate changeover on other days of the week if other bookings allow.
