The flat is a recently converted bottega [craftsman workshop] designed by Italian architect to high specs. Layout is open plan with king size bed that can be separated into two single beds. Kitchen is open plan, with induction hobs, coffee machine and kettle. Bathroom has bathtub and marble top, and large mirror on the sliding door. Wireless and cable internet is available in the flat. There are no internal steps and it is accessible to people with limited mobility. It is in a 16th century building in a cobblestone paved road, next to Campo de Fiori, the scenic square with a lively, daily grocery and flower market, and the magnificent Piazza Farnese, with the French Embassy. In the centre of old Rome, someone could get the true essence of Rome just walking half a mile from the flat. Very lively scene in the evenings and market action during the day.
I was born and raised in Rome, where I graduated as Mechanical Engineer, and having the time of my life living in this flat. I then moved abroad for my work and now I have a family, but I plan to live again in the flat when I will return to Rome one day, as it is in a magic location.
Angela Ariatti purchased this apartment in 1999
My family bought it when I went to University and I loved it as soon as I saw it. It is in one of the most characteristic street of old Rome, with a bridge connecting 2 buildings. There are some of the last bottegas [craftsman workshops] of Rome, mainly furniture makers. The name of the road refers to the hat makers that had their shops there, but none is left now. The area is now very gentrified but it retains the vibe of the lively market and the craftsman that give the name of the roads nearby.
Location, location, location, it does not get any more central and livelier than Campo de' Fiori! a nice modern design of a very talented Italian architect, decorated with a beautiful red coral sculpture. Wi fi in the whole flat. Induction cooker. Marble top in the bathroom and bathtub.
The apartment was handy, very close to Campo di Fiori. The only drawback to staying there was the noise at night. However, I would stay there again if I had the opportunity. It is on ground level, so easy access with no stairs to climb.
I would have put this as 2 stars, but since the owner took her own personal time to help us get a new flight during the Air France strike, I bumped it up to three stars. The apartment is located about 100 meters from Campo di Fiori, which was a great location. However, the apartment is on the bottom floor of a side street approaching Fiori, with very thin single pane windows. Every early morning street sweepers or garbage trucks would wake us up. I'm a very heavy sleeper and was woken up everyday. On Saturday night the bar scene picked up and there were drunken 20 year olds right outside the window until 2am. The towels had rusty stains, the bedsheets had some stains, and the floor tile grout looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The bathroom tile grout was so bad that I ended up cleaning it just to calm my nerves. There was also a very strong mildew smell that wouldn't go away even after four days of running the dehumidifier. I'm young and typically not the most picky person when it comes to cleanliness, but this apartment needs some deep cleaning, new sheets, and new towels.
Hi Riccardo and Il Corallo guys
thank you very much for your tips and for taking such good care of me.
I had been to Rome before, but never stayed in such a central location and it was a fantastic experience, I really felt part of the action!
I managed to visit the monuments I wanted and do fantastic shopping, almost all by foot.
And thanks for the tips on the local restaurants. I loved my stay and will recommend it to my friends.
the location is really amazing, is in the centre of the city where the most beautiful places are located.
The house is very cozy and perfect furniture! I will recommend to all my friends here in holland.

Flat is in via dei Cappellari, a little cobblestone road few yards from Campo de' Fiori, one of the nicest flower and grocery market during the day and home to the liveliest cafes and restaurants in the evening. Very picturesque, next to two of the most magnificent squares in Rome, Piazza Navona, and Piazza Farnese, with their beautiful palazzos and cafes. All the main attractions are walking distance from the flat, making it the perfect location for young and dynamic couples or friends, who like to be immersed in the Roman atmosphere
