Garage/basement about 120 sqm can store cars and golf clubs. 1st floor 1doublebedroom ensuite, 2 double bedrooms with balcony's, 1 master bathroom.

Large Garden has solo heated pool and garden furniture.

Why Fred Hoey chose Costa Azul - Setubal area

We have always wanted to have a holiday home and after travelling to Portugal a no, of times on holiday decided that this was the place for ou second home. As regards the the area we love that it is close to Lisbon but is also in the country, secondly it is on the south side of Lisbon and is therfore substantially cheaper then the areas north of Lisbon for resturants and social activities, the villa itself is in my opinion beautyfull ( of course i am biased) and in a great location overlooking the 14th green of the Montado Golf Course,We also loved the idea of having your oun private pool which we have now made into a solar heated pool.The house is quite large and very private even though you have neighbors nearby.

Relativly large villa, solar heated pool serviced once a week, on a golf course, in a gated community with security, privacy,good size garden maintained by gardeners once a week, the wrap around veranda at the back of the villa with a outside dinning area for eight.Privat parking with a large underground car park.

I stayed here for one week at the end of July. This is a stunning villa, in a quiet and peaceful setting, overlooking the golf course. With its stylish and luxurious interior and beautiful private swimming pool with fabulous bbq area, which is not over looked. This is an idyllic place to stay. A car is a must with restaurants and supermarkets about fifteen minutes drive away. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it for a chilled and relaxing holiday experience.

Excellent choice for a quiet and relaxing holiday within a quality golf complex.

This is a quality villa fully equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. We especially liked the outdoor eating area for breakfast and BBQ's. The garden and pool area is great for relaxing in the sun but also offers plenty of shaded areas if it gets too hot! Situated in the corner of the golf course overlooking the 14th green it's a perfect location if you like peace and quiet. The golf course itself is also of a good standard presenting a fair challenge to all handicap levels. We were there in early September and there was hardly anyone on the course - a pleasant change from the Algarve!

The hotel restaurant was disappointing but we found some really good local restaurants - the one in Mourisca was our favourite (get there early or pre-book).

Luis property manager lives a few doors away and he was exceptional. Sorted out a problem we had with one of the shutters on a Sunday and recommended some great restaurants.

If you like golf, peace and quiet, good food and wine then this definitely fits the bill.

Excellent Villa

The Villa was excellent everything you could think of was on hand and the golf course was very good as well.

Any problems we had Luis was on hand to sort and most times he was ringing the bell before I had even put the phone down!!

We stayed in August which apparently was an exceptional summer even for Portugal and I must admit the mosquitos were quite busy in the evenings as the golf course has a few lakes but around the barbecue Fred has put up some pull down netting which works well.

I would say you need a car but we ate in the hotel a few nights which is a nice stroll and Luis gave us a few tips on restaurants which were close by.

Beautiful well designed and quiet

This is a lovely property, all rooms open up to the garden or veranda. The garden and pool are large and well maintained. Plenty of room for games or relaxing.

Luis, was delightful, always on hand to sort any problem and so friendly and anxious that we had a good holiday.

The villa is on a golf course complex and although there is a hotel, it is not walking distance from anywhere, so a car and 15 mins at least is needed to get to anywhere to buy basic foodstuffs. (Fantastic supermarket within 20 mins drive).

The kitchen is large and well equipped, it opens out onto the covered barbecue area, which was ideal. We ate outside all the time, and having easy access to both barbecue, cooker, fridge and sink was brilliant.

The beaches looked great, but in August it is impossible to park anywhere near them. The ferry over to Troia beach was fun, but the beach is just OK, not bad, not brilliant.

To summarise

If you have children and want beaches in high season, or want to eat out and not drive far, maybe not your best choice. But if you want a quiet holiday relaxing in a great villa, with the lovely Luis, to sort out any problems or offer advice, you couldn't do better than stay here.

beautiful,clean,spacious property!!

We booked the villa as we were attending a family wedding in the area.The villa was very spacious and interior was all to a high spec and very clean. All "the boys" hired golf clubs whilst they were out there and went off most days to play golf whilst " the girls" chilled around the pool.

The bbq area was lovely for the evenings. A car is a must ,to get out and about.

We had a problem with the pool one day, as it turned a funny colour,but we rang Luis who came round very quickly as he only lives a few doors away and the pool problem was resolved within an hour.

If you like golf,sunshine and peace and quiet,then this villa is for you!

You drive through local vineyards to get to this Luxury 4 bedroom villa with a pool is on Montado Golf Course overlooking the 14th green. Golf courses within a half hour would be Troia (links), Quinta de Peru, Ribbagolf 1 & 2, Aroeira 1 & 2 plus many more within 70 minutes. Setubal is 10 minutes away and is famous for its seafood restaurants and beaches i.e.; Troia has long and sandy beaches that go on for miles, Portinho da Arrabida, Praia de Galapos. There is also the Serra da Arrabida ( natural forest park) with beautiful views overlooking Troia and the sea. You can go Dolphin watching here too.

You have a large amount of history here too with local castles Castel de Palmela ( 10 minutes from villa)and Sao Filipe Castle,This area is famous for its wines including Vinho Verde and the famous Moscatel including the Fonseca wineries and museum in Palmela,

For the more adventures there is the Kartodromo International de Palmela (go kart racing) 5 minutes from the Villa
