along its quaint quayside.
Children can easily enjoy a game of snooker to the Village Hall, explore the pirate themed-play area and have a run around with the family along the dog-friendly beach at Kiln Quay.
The coastal path from Flushing to Mylor offers a breathtaking walk in all seasons; whilst a host of water sport and sailing activities await visitors at its yacht marina.
For those looking to savour a cosmopolitan day out, the cathedral city of Truro serves as a great distraction away from the coast.
A frequent passenger ferry from Flushing provides a sedate way in which to reach nearby Falmouth and then on to St Mawes, Trelissick and Truro.
Flushing is one known to be one of the warmest villages in the UK because it has an idyllic sheltered south-facing aspect. It has quiet streets lined with traditional terraced fisherman’s cottages, and beautiful unspoilt surrounding countryside.
Many Cornish villages have become over crowded with tourists, but Flushing is much quieter, even during peak season, and it still benefits from a strong and vibrant community.
Flushing has two pubs, a stunning waterside restaurant located on the quayside both within stumbling distance and a friendly well-stocked general store. It also has a Sailing Club that welcomes guests, and it’s own dog-friendly beach.
A passenger ferry runs a regular service between Flushing and Falmouth. It also connects with the ferries to St Mawes, Mylor, Trelissick and Truro. In summer the Fal River boats offer trips to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan, and onwards to Truro. A local water taxi service also runs around the bay.
