Beautifully presented, the living room offers a wonderful retreat in which to relax and entertain, with plush seating provided alongside a flat screen Freeview TV, a DVD player and WIFI access. The radiant ambience from the raised wood burning stove paints a wonderful scene here in the winter months whilst, acting as a clever divider between the living room and kitchen diner, it easily offers romantic warmth to both rooms. The solid wood flooring of the living area continues through to the luxury cosiness of the kitchen diner.

Fully-equipped for a self-catering stay, with solid wood work tops, a large Belfast sink and all the must-have appliances, the country-style kitchen offers an exclusive setting in which to prepare and enjoy delicious home cooked feasts. Complemented by a large solid wood dining table and bench chairs, guests can easily host memorable dinner parties here throughout their stay.

Leading on from the kitchen diner, a modern utility room equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer is conveniently provided next to a separate shower room with WC.

Beautiful Character Cottage In Waterside Village Of Flushing

We were very disappointed on out initial entry to the property, it was very dark and depressing.

We were unable to read at night in the lounge due to the inadequate lighting. The downstairs bathroom was very poor and we had to share it with a mop and bucket and an ironing board !

The kitchen was very nice, although the 'sticky' table benefitted from us buying a table cloth for it.

The Garden was the worst, it was appalling, a half days gardening would have put it right. The BBQ was unusable, there was a sheet of broken glass in it, plus an old disposable BBQ. There was rubbish in the garden, plus a piece of flapping green sheeting hung over the wall, the gate to next door wouldn't latch, there was rubbish thrown behind the Oil Storage Tank, plus a rusty old saw, not at all what we felt we had paid for.

The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms very nice.

The front door proved very difficult to get in and out of, the letter box didn't shut.!

The people of Flushing were very friendly and the Severn Stars was a triumph. Thanks to the weather we had a wonderful holiday.

Flushing is one known to be one of the warmest villages in the UK because it has an idyllic sheltered south-facing aspect. It has quiet streets lined with traditional terraced fisherman’s cottages, and beautiful unspoilt surrounding countryside.

Many Cornish villages have become over crowded with tourists, but Flushing is much quieter, even during peak season, and it still benefits from a strong and vibrant community.

Flushing has two pubs, a stunning waterside restaurant located on the quayside both within stumbling distance and a friendly well-stocked general store. It also has a Sailing Club that welcomes guests, and it’s own dog-friendly beach.

A passenger ferry runs a regular service between Flushing and Falmouth. It also connects with the ferries to St Mawes, Mylor, Trelissick and Truro. In summer the Fal River boats offer trips to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan, and onwards to Truro. A local water taxi service also runs around the bay.
