THE POOL IS ONLY OPEN FROM JUNE TO SEPTEMBER. Luxury ground floor apartment, fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and hob, crockery, kettle, coffee maker and all the things you would want in your own holiday home. 1 double bedroom and one smaller bedroom which has two single beds. Open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. Comfortable seating in lounge for four, dining area seating four. Patio with garden furniture leads directly to the pool and padel court area, children's pool and adult pool (all fenced for children's safety) play park. 2 minutes walk to the beach (clothed and naturist) and 2 minutes walk to bars/ restaurants/ supermarket. The beach is beautiful and stretches for 28kms so plenty of opportunity for long walks

About Juliana or Neil Fowler

We live in Huercal Overa which is 25 minutes from the apartment so IF there were any problems we could be there very quickly. We are always available on the telephone or by email. We fell in love with the apartment and decided to take our time making it an apartment that we like to spend time in. We are there most weekends and have got to know the locals as many of the apartments are family owned. We originate from North Yorkshire (Richmond) and Neil was born and raised there. Juliana has lived all over the world but now considers Spain to be home. The people are fantastic and love having a natter even if you can't understand them! We have been fortunate and have retired at 50 years of age but we seem to be busier now than when we were running our own business. Although we own two rental properties, the other is in the countryside (next to our house) and Alborada is our dream apartment .

We chose this property because of the location. It is within easy reach of all the coastal towns, close to the motorway to take you further afield and the beach and the bars are fantastic.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is in a quiet cul de sac with barrier entry for cars and video entry to the apartment. It is a quiet area but there is nightlife in the form of a couple of discos, bars and restaurants nearby. If you fancy a quiet night in watching the stars in the beautiful clear sky from the balcony it is ideal, but then if you want a night out, it is within walking distance. It is great not having to drive everywhere.

Amazing owners and lovely apartment

Apartment is so lovely and clean, everything what you need. Ground floor is the advance of it. Our kids loved the playground, swimming pool and area . Made lots of new friends. Pool is clean with the safeguard ( extra safe for kids). Very close to the sea ( not overcrouded), There are small shops around with basic items. If you have a car you can pop in to Mercadona or Lidl, There is lovely market in Garrucha, Mojacar worth to see. Our stay was in August 2015, Weather was lovely, apartment can get warm so we used the fans, lots of parking space. We did enjoy the evenings in the large terrace with comfy seats. Owners, well what can I say about them. They are amazing, lovely and carring people. We had some trubble and delays getting to the apartment and they were soo kind that they waited for us till 2am, yes 2am ( we supposted to be there round 9pm). We did really like the apartment. I would say that is worth to get the car to visit near towns, other markets. If you are traveling from alicante there is shuttle from the fron of consum market if I am correct.

Dear Juliana and Neil, thank you one more time for being so nice and lovely to us. We have now great memories from our stay at your apartment and I need to say a BIG sorry for wtining the review so late, I should do this two years ago Anna, Stan and Leo with Benjamin :)

Excellent apartment

We had a lovely month, in this Vera area. Car needed to be able to visit Garrucha, Mojacar etc.

Very nice

We stayed at the house for three nights and we had a lot of fun. Everything is new (the forniture and bathroom).

The weather was incredible and the owners are as nice as de house!

Semana de vacaciones maravillosa

Semana de vacaciones genial de 5 amigos. El piso tiene todas las comodidades posibles y la urbanización es tranquila con una buena piscina, zona de juego para los niños y pistas de padel. La playa muy cerca y la zona de bares también. Para una zona de marcha aconsejo Mojacar que esta a 10 min en coche. Le damos las gracias a Juliana y Neil por su amabilidad. Volveremos a repetir el año que viene. Rocio

THE POOL IS ONLY OPEN FROM JUNE TO SEPTEMBER. Naturist beach, clothed beach, aqua park, supermarket (250 mtrs), huge supermarket 1km, local bars and restaurants within walking distance. In between Garrucha and Villaricos, both beautiful fishing ports (Spanish traditional) Villaricos has it's market on Sunday which is not to be missed - fruit and veg at a fraction of the price of supermarkets and clothes as little as 3 euros. Aguilas is about 20 km down the road and is a beautiful town where you can get anything. Mojacar is the playground of Costa Almeria and that is where you will find the most nightlife. However, remember that the Spanish love enjoying themselves so after 9 o clock at night it will be quite lively anywhere. The Indian restaurant by the apartment (The Taj Majal) is superb and also does take away food. El Balconitos (run by Carmen and her brother) provides entertainment of people watching throughout the day. A lovely comfortable place to have a coffee or a beer. The Cactus Bar (4km) is a great night out for live music and good food. Very friendly.

Golf is available at 6 courses within easy reach of the apartment, horse riding is just up at Vera (10 minutes drive), water sports are available at Garrucha including wind surfing, sailing, paragliding. There are wonderful walks from the apartment.
