About this property

This large townhouse has a fully equipped kitchen with a wide range of crockery, cutlery, glasses, serving dishes, saucepans and utensils. The stylish open plan lounge diner is tastefully furnished with a comfortable 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, coffee table and side tables and a shelving unit and tv unit. The dining table comfortably seats 6 with quality tableware available. A smart TV and DVD player is provided, as well as wifi, books and games. The house has had air-conditioning installed in 2024 on both floors which provides both cool air and heating depending on the season. There is a large rooftop solarium, where guests can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area. 2 Sun Loungers, chairs and a large dining table with 6 chairs make this an ideal place to relax. The front terrace has a stone table and benches and is a real suntrap but also has a large blind if you prefer to be out of the sun, and at the back there is a secluded kitchen patio if you want some more shade. Unusually for Vejer there is off-street parking spaces opposite. The spacious pool complex, exclusive to owners and guests, is open every day from 25 May - 15 September and has two pools with changing facilities, a grass terrace and great views to Africa.

A three minute walk from the house is a cafe/bar, mini-market with fresh meat and cheese counter and gym. 5 minutes away is a Carrefour supermarket, plus another Dia supermarket, along with cash machines, grocer, fishmonger, mobile phone stores and numerous other shops. There is a wide range of restaurants in the town to discover as well as bars and cafes with regular music events. Further afield you can take a Bodega Sherry tour, go on a ferry across the Straits to Morocco, see the famous Jerez dancing horses, take a boat trip into the peaceful surroundings of Donana National Park, go whale watching from Tarifa or take the cable car up the Rock at Gibraltar and enjoy duty free shopping.

You can see the stunning Roman ruins and award winning museum at Baelo Claudia (free to EU passport holders) which backs on to the beautiful sandy Bolonia beach where there is a very challenging sand dune to walk up if you are feeling fit. The reward at the top gives you wonderful views - and it's much easier coming down! This is a wonderful area for walkers with many trails taking you either along the famous Costa de la Luz coastline or inland through parks and villages.

The Costa de la Luz has abundance of blue flag sandy beaches a short distance away. The historic fishing village of Sancti Petri has water sport facilities, Tarifa is a mecca for wind-surfing enthusiasts and has a lovely town and castle to visit.

A Spanish gem!

We stayed here for 2 weeks mid to late February and were very pleased with our choice of property and location. Never having been to this part of Spain before, we were pleasantly surprised at how accessible places were and the number of places of interest to visit. The weather was generally good and the house had heating which proved necessary on several occasions. The house is a town house set in a long terrace of houses and has parking directly opposite. Lounge, kitchen and toilet with shower were on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms and bathroom on the 1st floor. The top floor was the roof terrace. Outside space at the front was small but adequate and has seating for 6. At the rear is a small internal courtyard with table, chairs and washing line. TV is Spanish but there was a DVD player and the flat screen TV gave a good picture. The house was very well equipped and furnishings were of a very good quality for a rental property, sofas and bedding were very good and sleep was not a problem! We did not want for anything whilst there and would recommend for a winter break as there is so much to see and do in the locality. Vejer offers lots of small bars, cafes and restaurants which will suit most budgets and tastes. We found the tapas to be very good and filling. The hot water tank is not enormous and I suspect that if 6 were staying then you would have to wait for the water to heat up. That was our only minor negative in what, for us, was a memorable winter break.

Lovely house in an ideal location.

Excellent communication right from booking through to arriving at the property. GPS co-ordinates brought us right to the front door. The property was spotless with all the essential amenities provided. Supermarket, cafes and restaurants all close by. Old town a bit further afield and very difficult to park. Suggest you drive in early or pre book a car parking space. The highlight of our stay was all the wonderful beaches on the Costa de la Luz. The nearest being only about 20 mins drive away. Would highly recommend this property.

Great place to stay.

Los Olivos is a nice townhouse, lots of room and well equipped. During colder days electric heating is very useful. Everything in the city is within walking distance and Veher is a lovely white village on top of a hill. Great views from the village and to the village.

Well equipped, perfect home for a base to explore
