Branscombe Holiday Chalet

This holiday chalet is only one of thirteen situated on the beautiful pebble beach at Branscombe Bay Devon. Its unique location ensures guests have fantastic panoramic views of this stunning bay.

The wooden chalet is light, modern and extremely comfortable inside, the lounge; main bedroom, kitchen and balcony all have magnificent sea views.

There are two small bedrooms, one double and one twin. The lounge area has patio doors that open out onto a small balcony. The compact kitchen contains a gas cooker, fridge and microwave and has a table and seating for four people.

This chalet offers a unique base from which to explore the wonderful Jurassic Coast with Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Beer only a few miles away.

Wireless Broadband service is also available at no extra cost.

The chalet has a free parking space for one car located in the public car park ( 5 minutes walk along the beach track).

All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are provided.

Gorgeous chalet in a fabulous location!

Really enjoyed our stay in your Branscombe chalet - we wanted to stay looking at that view from the veranda forever! The chalet was nicely styled with a clever use of space. Lots of thoughtful touches to make you feel at home, including milk and bread on arrival, useful local information, books and dvds and a little pair of binoculars for boat and bird watching! A totally relaxing, peaceful, 'at one with nature and the landscape' week! Just perfect! Thank you!

An exceptional property in an idyllic spot

It very much lived up to our expectations. The property was really well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. We felt at home immediately.The setting was superb being so close to the sea and yet retaining complete privacy. There were some lovely walks along the coast and inland and a Dog- friendly hostelry - the Masons Arms in Branscombe. I would certainly recommend it to my friends.

Cosy accommodation . Fabulous location!

The chalet was clean , warm and comfortable. We have been coming to Branscombe for over25 years and have owned one of the beach chalets for a few years . So it was wonderful to come back and stay on the beach again and be reminded how special a place it is. The chalet had everything you need for a relaxing holiday . The seashanty restaurant is very handy and we particularly like being able to walk to the Masons Arms pub in the evening for supper . As we know the area well we tend to avoid using the car and just walk locally . The walk over the cliffs to Beer is always a favourite ..and the fish and chips very good!

Wonderful in every way!

Absolutely amazing property! It looks good in the pictures and doesn’t disappoint in reality. Stunning location and really well appointed. There was plenty of hot water, a decent shower and all in all it was very warm and comfortable. The kitchen is also well equipped if you are planning to self cater. We did a picturesque (if strenuous!) walk over the cliff tops to Beer and also ate a lovely Sunday lunch at the Masons Arms in Branscombe. I cannot recommend the location and property highly enough. I will definitely return.

fabulous beach "hideaway"!!

We love Branscombe having holiday'd on the "other" cliff for many years.... It was so nice to be back. So nice to wake up and and to go to sleep to the sound of waves. So lovely to walk the dog along an empty beach at 7 in the morning and for the kids to be in the sea before everyone else and after everyone else. Fantastic location, fantastic chalet. We LOVED it!

As close to the beach as you can get!

This is a charming wooden chalet perched just above the beach at Branscombe - in fact, at high tide the view is such that it feels as if you are afloat!

A few tips: Branscombe doesn't have a shop for provisions, so in view of the narrow roads in and out of the village, it's a good idea to stock up on the way. If you need a depressing reminder of everyday life, then there is a new large Tesco at Seaton.

If you are keen walkers, then the coastal paths from Branscombe are wonderful. There are a number of ways over to Beer, and I would recommend investing in the locally produced large-scale walk/cycle map (available in the Sea Shanty shop). Our best day was a glorious walk to Sidmouth (well worth a visit) - only around 6 miles, but lots of height gain and loss, with the most incredible views throughout. There is a bus back to Branscombe (the last one currently leaves at 5.05pm - check up to date times).

The holiday chalet is one of only 13 that are situated on the pebble beach at Branscombe Bay, Devon. The unique location means that there are fantastic panoramic views of the sea. The local village is extremely picturesque and recently won the coveted title of ‘England’s Prettiest Village’. There are long winding Devon roads and beautiful thatched cottages.
