Three bathrooms / 100 yards from the lake.

This large, sunny holiday town house is elegantly furnished and has wonderful views of Lake Windermere from the south-facing picture windows in the lounge and upper floor master bedroom.

Tastefully refurbished to a good standard throughout and benefiting from three bathrooms, it also has a balcony off the dining room. Located just a few minutes stroll from the heart of bustling Bowness with stylish shops, tea rooms and pubs, and a mere 100 metres from the lake with all its watersports, it makes a perfect base for a superb holiday for families or groups of friends.

The whole of the Lake District is on your doorstep. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Lovely Place in a great location

We were a group of four couples, one toddler and two babies.

The house is located so close to the centre of Bowness, it is ideal if you don't want to travel far at all. The view from the living room and some bedrooms was lovely.

There was enough space of our group we never felt on top of each other, the kitchen, dining and living room were ample for us.

Bedrooms - the master is amazing, really big with ensuite. The other top two bedrooms share a main bathroom, which was adequate, there is also a bottom floor bedroom near the garage with a shower room. Three bathrooms is sufficient for four bedrooms.

We had a lovely time, none of us had a problem with the place - we really enjoyed it.

The place is clean, the owners are friendly, there is enough amenities. We have all said we'd come back and we will. Thank you John

fantastic location

Joint holiday with 6 adults family members. Spacious and clean though the decor is dated the property has everything you need for a great holiday. Communications from the owner were timely and welcoming, we did not need anything whilst we were staying at the property there was a reassuring offer of help if we needed to call him. Thank you for a great holiday.

Our best accomodation in Bowness yet

Firstly we'd like to say how communicative John was before and during this trip.

We went as a group of 6 for our first UK break together and we all feel the accommodation, facilities & location were perfect. Everything worked i.e. toaster, oven fridges/freezers etc & kettle with no issues whatsoever. We were slightly worried after the first review on here! (beds were comfy too)

We couldn't have timed our trip more perfect with hurricane Demond hitting Cumbria on the second day! John messaged us reassuring that if in the event we couldn't get out, due to closed down roads, we could stay longer on our final day.

I've personally stayed in multiple apartments/houses/cottages in Windermere and this one was by far the best.

We will definitely be coming back here next year and are already planning it!

Superb location, excellent views, spacial, garage

Have now come back from our week's stay here. Concerning the previous negative review, everything was working fine. Cannot however comment on the cooker as I don't cook when I am on holiday!! Not cooking is part of the holiday!

Superb location with great views from the lounge and upper front bedroom down to the pier, Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond. A one minute walk to the pier.

House was very spacial with the added bonus of a double garage. Lots of room.

John was extremely helpful and could not have asked for better communication.

I am giving this property one star for the location, location brilliant, house not clean, (bedrooms - the only thing that was clean in the rooms were the beds)

(kitchen - toaster didnt toast, kettle was leaking, oven didnt work, patio doors didnt lock)

(sittingroom - sofas were broken - not comfortable)

(bathrooms - showers trickled water out and they were not clean)

(beds were clean but two single beds was like sleeping on springs)

would not recommend this property to anybody, the list that i have given is not it all I could be here all night writing about it, will never go back.

Occasionally issues can occur as with any property, and we do always advise visitors to advise us immediately should there be any issues that occur during your stay, this would allow the issues to be rectified at the time and allow your stay to be improved. Sadly you didn't advise us until you returned home, and the previous visitors to you didn't have any issues at all. Once again we are sorry to hear your comments, and will investigate and action these immediately.

Bowness on Windermere, Is a thriving holiday town, the largest in the Lake District National Park, situated on the shores of Lake Windermere. This dynamic town boasts hundreds of shops, eating and drinking establishments from tea rooms. Italians through to Tapas Bars, it also has many fine cultural and historical attractions.

The views from Bowness out across the lake and up to the mountains are some of the finest in the Lake District.

The range of activities and things to do is almost endless. From golf, walking and horse riding to water skiing and sailing or if you want to take things at a slower pace there are many visitor attractions to browse around.

The fine 15thC church of St. Martin's is picturesquely set back from the road by a lovely approach festooned with trees and plants.

The lakeside town is popular with all ages, with a bustling focus on the lakeshore at Bowness Bay. Many kinds of lake excursions can be made from here, from the hiring of wooden rowing boats to sailing on the 'steamer' taking visitors further out across England's longest lake (almost 11 miles long).

Elsewhere in Bowness visit the Steamboat Museum and The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction and the many boating and aquatic attractions.

Bowness on Windermere is an ideal base for also exploring the the many other great places around the Lake District, including Kendal, Ambleside, Keswick and the great lakes of coniston, Derwent and Grasmere to name a few all are a just a short journey away.
