Why Barbara Joseph chose Wilmington
This house has been a labor of love. We purchased it in 1997 before kids. Renovated down to the studs in most rooms. We have enjoyed many years year round here. Our girls are currently in college. We still use the house but we also travel so we love sharing our special place with others who are looking to make great memories as well!

Mount Snow Stay
The Wilmington farm house was exactly what we needed for our family of 8. The house was 15 minutes from Mount Snow and very conveniently located. We spent almost all of our time around the large island in the kitchen. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
Hi Darren, I am so happy you and your family had a great time. You were awesome guests and I appreciate the respect you took while staying at our house. Please come back soon!
The house was great, we had a great holiday with the whole family and friend come over for New Years
The property was clean, absolutely love the spacious kitchen. Kitchen had a big window over looking looking the beautiful backyard. The bedrooms were just enough for our 3 families to spend the holiday together. Thank you Barbara for letting us stay and making such great family memories! We would definitely stay here again!
Glad you all had a great time, Qiao!
The perfect getaway
The Joseph's Vermont home is the perfect place to come relax in the winter and hit up the slopes at Mt. Snow. The house is the perfect size for a big family getaway and is extremely welcoming and cozy. It's convenient to the town, restaurants and grocery stores and is very easy to get to. The Joseph's couldn't have been more accommodating and made us feel as if their house was our own. Highly recommend!
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Hope you come back next year :)!
Family of four chillin out during the "off" season
The house style, amenities, location, and everything were perfect for our family of four. The weather was typical New England: sun, rain, clouds, sun, rain, clouds, hot, cold. So we didn't actually spend any real time at the lake, but we shopped in charming Wilmington & Bennington, bought pottery, took pictures (it's like a postcard every way you turn), played scrabble, cooked, drank wine, read a lot (thanks for the magazines and books), and just enjoyed a lot of together time. We loved the crazy floor plan and patina of the house, the way it was added onto over so many years (not to mention that astonishing antique sink in the master bath that you have to "flip" to empty). I also loved the pristine white and red lines of your neighbor's house across the street. It's like looking at a painting. Reminds me of the farms in northern Germany that I grew up knowing.
Anyway, it was swell of you to offer it as a Silent Auction item, since you didn't even get any payment for it, and had to just trust that we'd be okay kind of folks. Thanks.
Tough Mudder Weekend 5/7/11-5/9/11
Twelve of us headed up to Vermont from Massachusetts to take on the Tough Mudder event at Mount Snow, not only was the event great but so was the house. Great location, awesome property, very spacious for all of us to spread out and relax after a grueling day on the mountain. The giant dining room table was perfect for us to enjoy meals as a team. The front porch was also a popular spot to hang out and catch some late afternoon sun. We all agreed we would love to stay there again for next years Tough Mudder.
Glad you and your friends enjoyed the house as much as we do!
Perfect location to the mountain!
2 families fit well and comfortably in this great house. We had 2 feet of snow in one night! Great Holiday memories were made! Thank you Barbara!
Glad you had a great time - this was one time when traveling for warm weather didn't pay off. We were disappointed we missed the snow but happy someone else got to enjoy it!
