Bedroom apartment in the house of the '400, in the context Medieval in Serravalle, at 20 mt. from one of the most beautiful historic squares in Italy, Piazza Flaminio in Vittorio Veneto. Serravalle on the way from Venice to Dolomites, is the most fascinating part of the city, full of romantic historical places, and old inns and taverns with traditional cuisine. E 'currently slated to be considered "heritage of humanity" by UNESCO.
In a typical alley ancient, the apartment is on the first floor, with a beautiful terrace of 40 sqm, full of plants and flowers overlooking the rooftops. And 'it arranged on one floor, and is composed of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a large living room with sofa bed, corner kitchen, a hall and a bathroom. The living room and the master bedroom have direct access to the terrace.
Serravalle is a small medieval town of rare beauty and Vittorio Veneto is a special city, very close to Venice and to Dolomites, full of mansions, chosen by Venetian nobles of the past as a destination for their holidays and relax.
From Vittorio Veneto, you can easily visit the Dolomite mountains, the beaches of the Adriatic, the areas of wine prosecco. the cities of the Northeast and of course Venice, reachable by train from the nearby train station.
because if you want to go to a historic city I would like to stay in an apartment like this.
A fascinating accommodation, low price, close to Venice and the Dolomites
We use this apartment since 2010 every year for our summer vacation. The apartment is very well equipped. A large stylish living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower offer space for up to 4 people. In addition the beautiful 35 sqm terrace offers Sun in the morning and relaxing shade in the afternoon .
The apartment is located in the medieval centre of Serravalle, just a few steps from the Piazza Flaminio. Restaurants, bars and Cafés are located in the immediate vicinity.
The only problem in the old town of Serravalle is the parking situation. But we were very pleased that the city of Vittorio Veneto offers free parking passes to the holiday guests. Without it, it would be almost impossible to make holiday in an apartment or B & B in Serravalle.
We can only recommend this apartment.
This apartment oozes charm and authenticity. It has been lovingly renovated and has every amenity you could reasonably expect. The terrace is a wonderful, private place to have a relaxing meal; the quiet old town of Serravalle exudes history, and it's just a short car trip to Venice, the Brenta villas, the Adriatic beaches and the picturesque towns of the Veneto. There is also a terrific pizzeria ("al 128") just 50m away.
We traveled with two children and everyone had a great time.
Finding a golden nugget is always a surprise and that describes well the Via Burela apartment.
Although our GPS had a bit of a problem finding the address, our greeting by Giorgio set the tone for a wonderful week in Northern Italy.
The facility far exceeded our expectations and the lack of A/C in the mid 30C. heat did not cause any problems - a fan was more than sufficient to keep us comfortable.
All the necessities were there, microwave, dishwasher etc. and, given that we were nearing the end of five weeks of travelling, it was a pleasure to relax on the large terrace to some of our own cooking.
The location, within the old town of Serrevalle, is enchanting and the music and sounds of the neighbourhood lent an unequaled charm. As a central location to explore the region, from Venice in the south to Cortina in the north, it is excellent.
Our trek along part of the Prosecco Road provided beautiful vistas at every turn and delightful vineyards (c/w excellent produce) everywhere. Obviously a vehicle is essential.
If in the region again we would repeat our stay without hesitation and will reccommend it to any friends and family. (All by itself, Giorgio's orientation tour is worth the visit!!)
Wonderful apartment, very spacious but at the same time cosy. Beautifully furnished with many of the original features preserved, it is equipped with everything you need in a holiday apartment. The outside terrace is very private and quite a rarity, we loved it. There is a small flight of stairs that you need to climb to access the apartment but for us this was not a problem.
The apartment located in a quiet alley in Serravalle, is conveniently located near to the beautiful Piazza Flaminio and numerous bars and reasonably priced restaurants
The train station is approximately 15 mins walk where there are regular services to Venice, Treviso, Conegliano, Cortina D’Ampezzo, Belluno and Feltre to mention just a few so it is possible to see other places without having to use a car.
For those who are not able to walk great distances, there is also a regular bus service to Ceneda where you will find the Duomo and the Battle Museum which offers a fascinating insight into how life was for the people here during the First World War. All exhibits have English translations and the videos also have English subtitles (if you find the subtitles are in Italian turn the black button to change them to English!).
A big thank you to you both for picking us up and taking us back to the station with our suitcases and for the bottle of Prosecco on arrival which was very welcome.
We hope to see you again next year.
Herzlichen Dank Giorgio!
Vittorio Veneto (30 000 inhabitants) boasts one of the most charming medieval villages of Italy, Piazza Flaminio in Serravalle, completely surrounded by palaces of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The city keeps inside numerous treasures of art and history, and is both the best starting point for day trips to other Venetian cities, all linked by convenient motorway: Venice (62 km), Padua ( 100 km), Belluno (41 km) Asolo (61 km).
Even Cortina d'Ampezzo, the heart of the Dolomites, can be reached in an hour by car from Vittorio Veneto; there is plenty of time for a walk in the Cinque Torri, or take the cable car of Tofane, do some 'shopping in the center of Cortina, and return to Vittorio Veneto to enjoy the evening in a tavern feature. And if you intend to spend a day at sea, Jesolo and Caorle are less of a 'now. Beware of sunburn!
