'Seasprite' is a delightful old fisherman's cottage set just yards from the beach at Felpham, a very popular seaside village in West Sussex. Close to the Butlins holiday resort in Bognor Regis, the location is ideal for family holidays, but would equally make for a great get-away location for anyone looking to spend some time at the seaside in an area of the country that sees some of the highest sunshine rates.
The cottage has a cosy sitting room with 2 sofas, TV and DVD player. This leads through to the dining room which is semi-open plan to the kitchen and a utility area. The kitchen is not the biggest in the world, but is well presented and includes an oven with gas hob, a microwave, a washing machine and fridge. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. The rear garden is compact but does have room for a table and chairs, ideal for enjoying some dappled sunshine on a summer's day.
As it is an old cottage, the stairs to the first floor are quite narrow and a little steep, but there is both a rope and a wooden hand rail. The first floor has 2 bedrooms. The front bedroom is great for children and has bunk beds. The bedroom at the back of the house is a comfortable double bedroom and it leads through to the family bathroom. (Please note, the bathroom is only accessed through the double bedroom)
Perfect for our stay, we felt very welcome there. Our daughter loved the children's books provided. Wonderful location, close to the beach, but quiet.
Lovely little house with a garden ideal for a family was great that there was a TV DVD for rainy days and kids room had some books and a play house that made it more homely for my daughter
'Seasprite' is located on a residential road leading directly to the beach at Felpham. The beach itself is popular in the summer, with beach huts nearby and a cafe for some refreshment. The Butlins holiday resort is within an easy walk along the seafront promenade and day visitors are more than welcome. Walk a little further along the seafront and you will find the traditional seaside resort town of Bognor Regis which has its own pier and a good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.
A little further afield are the historic cathedral cities of Chichester and Arundel. Both offer a wealth of interesting shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as some historic sight-seeing and cultural attractions. The larger cities of Portsmouth and Brighton are also within easy driving distance or a train ride along the coast. Portsmouth is perhaps most famous for being home to the Royal Navy, whereas Brighton has the famous Royal Pavilion and a huge selection of independent shops. London is also within reach by train, with a direct service from Bognor Regis to London Victoria.
