Recent extracts from our visitors book- 'What a fantastic villa; the web site pictures don't do it justice. Great location, great views, fantastic property, all so hassle free. Will be back' 'Excellent villa, lovely area, fantastic holiday' 'Lovely-excellent villa, coming again 1 week not long enough-loved every minute'.
Other areas to explore: Javea is close to the bustling town of Denia with its tree lined streets, pavement cafes, bars and restaurants. From Denia you can catch a ferry to Ibiza. The resort of Benidorm is only 30 minutes drive away and close by is Terra Mitica, which is one of Europes largest theme parks. Visit Aqualandia a themed water park and next door Mundomar with its dolphins, seals and parrots. A drive to Guadalest is a must with its quaint shops, narrow cobbled winding streets and spectacular views from the village square.
Javea Town: Javea lies between pine-covered Cabo De La Nao to the South and
Cabo De San Antonio to the North. The town is ideal for a family
holiday, especially in Spring when the area is ablaze with blossom from the almonds, and the scents of orange and lemon trees fill the air.
The World Health Organisation has proclaimed Javea to be
'environmentally near perfect' and you can bask in the Costa Blanca's brightest sunshine here on about 320 days of the year.
Javea Town nestles at the foot of 2,500 feet Mount Montgo, a designated Nature Reserve. It boasts a 16th century church, covered market, and for the historically minded a Museum housing
a nationally important collection of rare Iberian finds from Montgo.
After exploring the Town's fascinating narrow streets you can make your way to the old fishing port about 1 mile away.
To the South of the old town lies the Arenal beach, a broad crescent of fine golden sand backed by a promenade of shops and restaurants.
La Guardia/ Cabo De La Nao areas: Be sure to stop at the 'Miradors' ('Viewing Points'), several of
which are located within a few minutes drive of Casa Alicia.
Without exception they offer stunning views from cliff top perches of rocky coves and crystal clear water. This is snorkelling territory at its best, reminiscent of Cornwall but with guaranteed good weather!
From Cabo De La Nao (Costa Blanca's most Easterly point) it is possible on a clear day to see all the way to Ibiza, 100 kms away.
Also close by is the idyllic bay of La Granadella, so picturesque that it is often featured on Javea's postcards.
My partner and I had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks in this beautiful villa June/ July 2015. The booking process is hassle free and simple right to the end.
The villa is situated about an hour or so drive from either Alicante or Valencia airports with a straight run from either way. (All directions & local information are also provided by the owners Steve & Marg)
Just a very short drive to supermarkets, restaurants & the beach etc yet the villa is set in a lovely peaceful location. (We recommend El Gaucho – at Jesus Pobre if you fancy a nice steak).
Arriving at the villa we were met with a beautiful, extremely well kept garden & pool. The villa itself also immaculate and is so spacious, light and airy. There is plenty of room should you wish to stay as a family. I seriously couldn’t believe how pristine the villa was both inside & out, there are just no ‘sharp edges’ so to speak. The welcome pack is also a lovely addition.
Booking a stay at this villa is simply a ‘must’ whilst the opportunity is there! We can’t wait to go back.
Steve & Marg thank you for sharing your stunning property x
We have been renting villas in Javea since 1999, generally for two weeks a year, so I guess you could say we like it! We always rented the same one until 2008 when it was sold. We have tried others since but couldn’t find one that was quite right…. then, we found Villa Alicia!
We spent two weeks there in September 2012 and liked it so much we immediately booked for two weeks in 2013. Its so family friendly we are taking our grown up children and our grandchildren with us this time. Perhaps we should have booked for three weeks so we could stay for a week on our own to recover!
The villa is located on a corner plot amidst a garden filled with a colourful array of flowers and shrubs. All the boundaries are fenced for privacy and even the entrance gates are screened. You can easily find yourself a quiet corner if you want to read or have a siesta in peace.
As soon as we walked into the entrance hall we instantly felt at home. It was obvious that the owners have great pride in their property. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, very comfortable, well maintained and the best equipped we’ve experienced. The owners seem to have thought of everything.
For peace of mind, unlike some of the villas, Villa Alicia has modern roller shutters on the windows, rather than the fixed metal bars that don’t open and can’t be used as an escape route in an emergency.
The swimming pool’s underwater lighting creates a romantic mood when the sun goes down, whether you are enjoying a barbeque, or simply winding down with your favourite drink, it’s a great place to be.
This is a very quiet neighbourhood conveniently located only around five minutes drive from the Arenal, with its fabulous beach and wide choice of restaurants. A ten-minute drive will take you to the Port or Old Town and around a fifteen to twenty minute drive will take you to Moraira, which is well worth a visit.
Can highly recommend!
This lovely villa is set in its own colourful gardens and was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
The location is very quiet, but is within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants. It is also only about a 10-15 minute drive down to the Arenal area of Javea with its beautiful beach and wide choice of bars and restaurants and lively nightlife.
However we found we spent most of our evenings enjoying the villa and eating overlooking the pool area.
We had a wonderful time and have already booked the villa for next years holiday!
We would have no hesitation recommending this villa, it was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped, the welcome pack was excellent - full of goodies. Steve and Marg have obviously put a great deal of thought into making this villa so comfortable. The BBQ which we used most evenings is excellent, the pool area is surrounded by a beautiful garden, you really couldn't want for more. Hopefully we will be back next year.
The local supermarkets were a little expensive, but 10 minutes away in le Arenal there is a Mercadona which was cheaper. The beach at le Arenal is nice, but we preferred the coves near the villa although the beaches were large pebbles the snorkelling was good.
We only ate out a couple of times we liked the BBQ so much, there is a restaurant at Cap da la Nau, although a little expensive it was worth it, the food was excellent and the views were amazing, in le Arenal there is a good variety of places to eat.
Overall this was an excellent holiday.
Casa Alicia is a wonderful and comfortably spacious villa on the outskirts of the town Javea. When we arrived the villa was spotless, fully equipped and a lovely box of goodies which was very much appreciated! The pool and garden area is very well maintained and is perfect for family fun and entertainment. The villa is well laidout on one floor, which was ideal for us as we have twin baby girls. The owners have been wonderful and even supplied an extra cot and highchairs. In our opinion a car is essential mainly because of the main road to Javea is narrow in areas without pavements, but the Arenal area of Javea is in walking distance and my parents did the walk on a number of occasions in around an hour. There are a number of restaurants near the villa, which were very handy however the prices at the restaurants are more expensive than in Javea itself. We found going into the Arenal area of Javea was no problem and ate most nights either there or in the villa. The barbeque is excellent in the villa. There is a supermarket about 5 minutes from the villa which is well stocked, however again we found the supermarkets in Javea cheaper, especially for a big shop to stock up. We went to the villa in the middle of June, which was just perfect for our babies and not too hot. A wonderful holiday overall and we will definitely be back to Javea and the Casa Alicia.
This is a beautiful property, in a lovely quiet location. We have styaed there twice and are currently planning a third trip.
The house is exceedingly well maintained and is fully equipped with evrything that you can think of. The property is cleaned to a very high standard and the pool anf gardens are regularly maintained.
There are a number of restaurants closeby and the beach of Arenal and the town of Javea are only a few minutes drive away.
A hire car would in my view be essential but then that allows you the freedom to go further afield. The villa is almost exactly half way between Valencia and Alicante so flying to either airport is an option.
We have stayed ther in both July and August and had beautiful weather on both occassions, the villa's owners Steve & Margaret are very helpful - all in all a really beautiful property.
Javea is a little over 1 hours drive from Alicante/Valencia airport. The La Guardia area comprises developments of upmarket villas tucked amongst the native pine forest. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity from the summer hustle and bustle of Javea town and beach, yet within easy reach of all the holiday facilities, restaurants, bars, shops etc. The villa itself is situated on a sun drenched level plot. Two excellent restaurants are 5 mins. walk away and a supermarket 2 minutes drive away.
