LANTANA apts have 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms, with large terrace area and views to the sea and West Coast. Adjacent to charming Chattel Houses and wonderful Beach Front Villas, the development is very favorably positioned just 2.4km north of Holetown.
The beach at Alleynes Bay is 2 minute walk from the site, here you will find a beach bar serving delicious food, there are also many other well known stretches of beach - from Glitter Bay & Lonestar in the South; to Gibbs, Mullins & Indulgence Spa area to the North - are also within walking distance. 2 large free-form swimming pools with loungers and brollys, generous covered decks and fantastic sea views. Secure controlled entry and private car parking.
There are two types of buses service Barbados. Blue buses with yellow stripes are government-owned; their smaller, yellow and blue-striped counterparts are privately-owned. There is a bus stop outside the apartments, cost is the same to all destinations- 2 BDS. approx 66 pence.
Adjacent to charming Chattel Houses and wonderful Beach Front Villas it is well located just 2.5 Km north of Holetown and only two minutes’ walk from the quiet golden sands of Alleynes Beach. Other well-known stretches of beach from Glitter Bay and Lonestar in the South to Gibbs/Mullins and the Indulgence Spa area to the North are just a short distance from the apartment.
The modern Lantana development has 2 large free- form swimming pools, secure controlled entry and plenty of private parking, however a car is not essential as there is good public transport links to Holetown, Speightstown and beyond.
The apartment is available for weekly or longer lets with a flexible changeover day. Longer term rentals or booking using only 1 or 2 bedroom may be available at discounted rates, please e-mail for details. Please note there is strictly no smoking in the apartment.
Holetown is 5 minute drive from Weston. In this vicinity you will find restaurants, bars and a very fine bakery/patisserie. The newly opened Lime Grove Lifestyle Centre is a fabulous oasis in the center of Holetown and showcases many designer boutiques including Ralph Lauren, Armani Exchange and Breitling to name but a few, stylish coffee shops, bars and restaurants allow for relaxation whilst browsing, The centre also incorporates a gym and beauty salon to rejuvenate even the weariest shopper. The shopping mall has a coffee area, small duty free Cave Shepherd outlet, a well stocked supermarket, Internet café and boutiques. An additional walk of 5 minutes will bring you to a larger Cave Shepherd Duty Free shop.
There are restaurants specializing in Italian, Indian or Thai as well as traditional Bajan food.
Just a short distance from Speightstown to the north, the island’s second largest town, (about 5 minutes drive). Once known as Little Bristol because of connections to Bristol on the West Coast of England, Speightstown still has a feel of old time Barbados about it. There is a fish market on the seafront, fruit and vegetable sellers on the road side, a couple of local restaurants, bars and shops, plus a very well stocked supermarket.
The island has the relatively tranquil Caribbean Sea on the west coast and and on the east coast the invigorating Atlantic Ocean.
The apartment is on the top floor which gives excellent views over the pool, looking across the main road towards the trees of the houses opposite towards the sea at the front, and up the hill to adjacent (but not close) properties at the rear. There is a similar block of apartments on the same complex to the rear, but not close enough to be problematic. From the balcony at the front, as you breakfast, you can watch the primary chidren playing in the grounds before the school day began: this was hugely entertaining! We didn't anticipate Barbados being quiet, and so traffic noise from the road didn't bother us: it's fairly subdued, and with the breeze in the trees, and the birdsong it just all mingled together. Sunsets over the sea from the balcony gave great photo opportunities. The bedrooms at the rear get the sunrise: blinds keep out the light and heat as much as you want, while allowing breezes in. The rear balcony has a clothes dryer: things I washed on a quick wash were dry the next day.
The main bedroom (ensuite) is spacious and nicely decorated; storage is bedside drawers and a wardrobe. The bed is huge and really comfortable. The twin bedroom (bathroom over the hallway) is a good size; storage is chests of drawers, a rack of hooks.
The kitchen area is well equipped with all the things you would expect; we never used the dishwasher; the washing machine was a great aid. The kitchen is to the side of the lounge area, so it was great to be able to talk whilst cooking, but not feel that the kitchen dominated the room. We took the two easy chairs out onto the balcony during the day: plenty of room with the table and 4 chairs on the balcony to one side. We went inside once it got dark to avoid bites!
While we were there, there was only one other couple, on the ground floor, so the apartment complex was incredibly quiet.
The apartment was spotless and cleaned once during our two week stay. It was easy to keep clean, especially as we used the shower and tap by the pool to remove sand before entering the complex.
Because there are bus stops outside the complex, it was easy to travel north to Speightstown, and south to Holeto

There is a refundable deposit of £200 added to cover loss of keys, breakages, and excessive cleaning.
The cost covers a weekly maid service for stays of 10 days and over.

We have stayed at Lantana before but this apartment was bigger and much better suited to our family. The staff involved were very helpful and we would be very happy to return.
Me and my children stayed at the Lantana 15 apartment, the apartment was everything it says with no hidden surprises. It was lovely and spacious with a beautiful veranda that over looks some fantastic breath taking sea view. The bedrooms was comfortable and clean including the overall apartment. The pool was easy for us to get too and below the apartment which was ideal especially if you wanted to take a rest from the beach which was only minutes from our stay. And if you wanted to site see and take a trip to the many shops the bus stop is just outside the apartment. Agnes who maintained the apartment was very polite and helpful also. All in all our stay was pleasant and I will return in the near future. Thank you Joan for letting us stay at your wonderful apartment.

The apartment was very clean and did have everything we required although it is a little bit tired. Just little things like a broken plug in one of the bathrooms; a very flimsy curtain in the main bedroom letting in daylight (which was a bit strange as the patio door in the main bedroom and the spare bedroom had black out curtains) no full length mirror and a few scrapes and scuffs on the walls. Maybe I’m being a bit particular but little things can make a difference!
The gardens around the apartment are very well kept and the pool is also kept clean and everyone around is very friendly.
Location wise it is ideal as we jumped on and off the buses to Mullins Beach and the Beach at Santi’s beach bar and also into Speightstown and Holetown and the buses are a real experience and very frequent!
The traffic from the main road can at times be a bit noisy but as I live in town back home I am used to some noise but I can understand why some people find it annoying.
Overall we had a fabulous holiday and will be back to Barbados.

The complex is secure, and the apartment itself has all the facilities you could want. It's location is perfect, especially if you want to be near most of the golf courses. All the local staff are very friendly. A definite home from home..
We stayed for 12 days in Lantana 15 and had a wonderful time.
The apartment is well maintained. We cooked a few times and everything was there. It is clean and offers pool/beach towels.
The pool is wonderful.
The view is fantastic.
The fish market is right around the corner.
We always went to "Reeds Bay" which is a beautiful beach around 500 meters from the apartment. It has a little reef for snorkeling and you can rent beach chairs .
We also found that little restaurant "De Outback" which is 5 min. by car towards Speighttstown which serves authentic carribian food.
The only thing we missed was a BBQ for griling all the fantastic fish.
The apt is well equipped for all your needs, with quiet pool out front. The location is handy for holetown or speightown, and Mullins beach. If you use public transport the bus stop is right outside the appartments. All in all a well maintained property and Agnes was very helpfull.
The Weston Fish Market is just a short stroll away providing a daily supply of quality fresh fish and local flavour. The popular Tropicana Surf Break is also just a quick stroll down the beach.
Attractions in the area: Atlantis Submarine, Tall Ship Cruises, diving, swimming with turtles, moonlit walks across the beach. Visit Harrison's Cave, stalactite and stalagmite formations in an underground cavern only explored in the 1970's, or explore the Barbadian Sugar Plantation Houses, and visit the Flower Forest and Orchid World.Alternatively, have a fabulous lunch or sunset dinner cruise on the Harbourmaster or Tiami sipping rum punches whilst enjoying a fabulous sunset,or opt for a pirate cruise on the Jolly Roger.If you prefer a land based restaurant, then you could visit some of the spectacular restaurants that are to be found on the island, these include the renowned Tides restaurant, Calabaza and Fish Pot restaurants. Life does not get better than romantic candlelite dining at the sea's edge at these spectacular restaurants, all within walking distance of this apartment.
