Our stay at Leave No Trace made our Vermont trip complete. We found it very clean, cozy and well stocked. Leave No Trace is perfectly situated near many locations for shopping, sight-seeing and hiking. An interesting place to visit is the Path of Life Garden in Windsor. After our fun-filled day trips it was nice to know we had such a comfy cabin to go back to. Bambi is easy to reach and very thoughtful to the needs of renters. The McClain and Quinzer families... Sammy and Josie too!!!!
The cabin is very well looked after and is clean and tidy. There is loads of room inside and the woods to explore outside. It is value for money and very comfy (esp the bed). The owner is very accomodating and helpful, there are little notes left to help you and not to direct you. Having a relaxing time is the order of the day. The kitchen has everything you might need, having a fire in the firepit is a must. There was a phoebe nesting and a hummingbird on the hanging baskets. We wanted to be closer to nature and away from the city (from UK) and we definitely got it here. Woodstock is a very nice place to do shopping or eating and there's loads of places to visit not far away. Everybody we came across was friendly, polite and helpful. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us Bambi, we didn't want to leave, also your email comms were excellent!
Cozy and very comfortable house! The owner thought of everything you might need during your stay. The kitchen is well stocked, the house is clean and the owner is very accommodating and helpful. Definitely recommend it to everyone!
My husband and I planned a Valentine's Day respite to Vermont. We were hoping to stay some place romantic, cozy, secluded, and full of everything we might need. We were SO pleased to find that Leave No Trace was all we wanted and MORE. The woodstove was a warm balm on the cold nights (and the heater works well too!). The large whirlpool tub was so relaxing. I could go on and on, but most of what I would say has already been mentioned in the other reviews. However, if you're looking for that perfect romantic get-away, then Leave No Trace is for you! If visiting in winter, please heed the tip to travel in a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle! The snowy uphill roads just add to the sense of adventure!
We just returned from our 2nd stay at the Leave no Trace cabing and we are already anticipating when we can get back again. The owner made some major improvement since our last stay which made the cabin even more comfortable. Of all of the properties we've rented, this cabin by far is the cleanest, best equipped and most comfortable. Thank you to the owner for sharing this treasure.
I stayed here with my father, husband and young daughter just after Christmas. It was my first trip to the area and we had a wonderful time. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. It was quite cold the week we visited, and we loved warming up around the wood burning stove after cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The house is just as beautiful on a snowy day as it appears in the photos.
There is a spiral staircase which would have worried me if my daughter were any younger, but the owner has thoughtfully stocked the house with baby gates.
4X4 or good winter tires are recommended for the roads going in.
We haven't decided if we'll be in the Woodstock area this winter, but if we are we would love to stay here again. I missed it for weeks after I left.
