We were an extended family of 9 which included 3 small children. We had an amazing time: the house was terrific, the views stunning and the location/ local activities and amenities varied. We would recommend this place without reservation.

Excellent location, fantastic views, perfect facilities provided outstanding family holiday.

  • 5 of 5

On arrival you are immediately taken aback by the ideal remote location. On entering the property the overall impression is of comfort, warmth and you are then stunned by the view over the mountains from the sun room. The spacious property, there were eight of us, was very well equipped, with cosy bedding and a well furnished rooms. The local shops provide all that was needed during our stay and the coffee shops were well frequented ,especially 'The Bothy', which was our favourite. The walks, climbs and wildlife seen during the visit are too many to list but have made a lasting memory of what Braemar, and the local area have to offer.

Everything from the outstanding property, location and even the weather have provided us with family holiday memories we will always remember and cherish.

Thank you for the use of your excellent property, we will return.

Wonderful house in an amazing location!! Well stocked kitchen, & comfortable beds.

  • 5 of 5

We were two families with 4 adults and 5 boys. The layout of the house was perfect, beds comfy, great showers, well-stocked kitchen, but to be honest, if it was just a tent with sleeping bags, the location would have made up for it. Waking up to the ever changing beauty of the Cairngorms every morning is reason enough to love this house! The hiking from right out the front door is world class, and the wonderful village of Braemar with pubs, butcher and grocer is easy walking distance. I can’t recommend this house enough, thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful home!!

Luxurious house five minutes from Braemar centre. Scrupulously clean on arrival. Lots of wildlife in the garden including red squirrels. Great sun lounge and brilliant drying facilities for the keen walker. Already booked next year.

We had a fantastic week in Deerpath Cottage. Everything that was written was there, even better than promised! Lots of Logs for the wood burning stove, it was a bit chill in the evenings.. The environment was splendid, next to the house were great walking trails. Lots and lots of deers, rabbits, squirls, ducks and other birds could be seen from the sunroom. This was our favorite place to sit and watch wildlife!

The house is very complete and clean. Couldn't be better! We would surely recommend it for a perfect Holliday in Braemar!

Great house for a family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic weeks holiday. The accommodation is well suited for large families. Main bedroom to one side of living space and 3 bedrooms at other side. Lovely open plan kitchen, living, dining space with plenty of natural light. Quality furniture, bedding and towels. Kitchen is well stocked with plenty of crockery for large groups but some cookware needs replaced.

We loved the location, hill walks literally on your door step, deer can be seen from the sunroom and only a short walk to the village. We will definitely plan a return trip as our children and parents loved it.

A charming highland village with imposing granite architecture and with all the important amenities like surgery, shops, post office, hotels and pub. It has beautiful mountainous landscapes in which to enjoy a wide range of outdoor pursuits.

Queen Victoria and Prince Albert came to Balmoral, which is twelve miles down Royal Deeside, as a tenant , and liked the area so much she bought it, demolished it and built the present Castle. It has fantastic mountain scenery with healthy air as witnessed by the lichen growing on the trees.

Most major airlines fly into Aberdeen, the oil capital of Europe including British Airways, Easyjet and Flybe.

There are regular 201 Deeside bus services to Braemar.

Road: from Aberdeen on A93 after the Invercauld Arms Hotel on left, fork right into Braemar. From Perth continue on A9 towards Inverness for 2 miles then turn off to Stanley, PH1 4LU . In Stanley put AB35 5YT in sat nav. In Braemar turn back left before the Invercauld Arms in centre of village. Go past the Fife Arms Hotel and Braemar Gallery on the right and turn half left at the brown sign, on the left lamp post, 6m Linn O''Dee, go up Chapel Brae (Hill). At the top go off the tarmac along Private Road with Lochan on left, Deerpath is second and last on the right.
