Enchanting, warm and cozy.
Four days in Axelle’s House for a view of the Belgium Christmas markets and what a wonderful spot. We are a family of three with a 20 year old daughter so the two bedrooms were perfect. The house was cozy and lovely. We had the fire going for wine and cheese in the evenings prior to venturing out for dinner and Brugges Christmas market mulled wines. And beers. 12 minute walk to train station for easy access to Ghent and Brussels. 3 minute walk into the center of town. Highly recommend as Barbara does a great job at taking care that her guests enjoy the house and her wonderful city of Brugges. Thank you Barbara.

Thanks for your wonderful review,
it was a pleasure meeting you here in Bruges.
Best regards, Barbara
Perfectly cozy Bruges home
Had a wonderful stay at Axelle's House this past weekend. The house completely exceeded my expectations! After a long (and very cold) day walking around Bruges, I was very happy to come back and warm up by the cozy fireplace with some tea and Barbara's homemade jam. Barbara was also very helpful and gave me some great restaurant recommendations around Bruges. I would also recommend checking out her antique store in Vismarkt!
Beautiful and cosy house in prime location
We had a fantastic stay in Bruges! The house was beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped. The location is very central, close to the train station and perfect to explore Bruges (it takes less than 5 min to the town centre). Moreover, Barbara and her husband are lovely, and were very accommodating. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend!
Thanks very much for your visit.
I'm sure you enjoyed your "girls weekend" here in Bruges.
We hope to welcome you again,
Lovely 19th century property, perfectly located for exploring Bruges
We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Axelle’s House and found it the perfect property for exploring Bruges. The house is a traditional, 3-storey property that has been beautifully decorated and furnished in a traditional style. It had all the facilities we needed and was very comfortable and cosy. Barbara the owner made us feel very welcome and responded very quickly to a question we raised. The house is located a short walk from the main centre yet away from the hustle and noise of the main tourist routes. From our bedroom window we could see the towers of Saint Salvators Cathedral and Church of our Lady. What could be nicer than hearing the church bells ringing when you wake up in the morning. A fabulous property and we hope to return in the future.
It was nice meeting you in Bruges,
and I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed Axelle's House so much.
As you are a regular visitor in Bruges, it would be nice to
welcome you again.
Best wishes, Barbara
A beautifully decorated and well maintained gem in a quiet street
The house and the welcome from the host, Barbara, were great. The house is in a quiet location and it is peaceful in the evenings. It is easy to walk to all the attractions in Bruges from the house. Our favourite experiences were wandering around the quiet areas such as Sint-Anna, Langerei and St. Giles and taking in the wonderful views and the fine buildings. We also took a trip to Oostende (10 minutes on the train from Bruges Station) and found it a really interesting mix of old and new buildings with some amazing contemporary sculptures and artwork. Back in Bruges, we enjoyed the beer and the chocolates (particularly from The Chocolate Line) and though generally we found food and drink to be quite expensive in Bruges what we had was of good quality and the service in restaurants and cafes was always polite and friendly. A magical place with enchanting views at every turn.
Thanks for your stay in Axell's House.
It was a good idea to visit th quiet areas, not a lot of poeple know those
Always welcome in Bruges !
Best regards, Barbara
Everything you could ask for in Bruges!
This place is amazing! It was the perfect (temporary) Home for our family of 3. Lots of charm. The street it’s on could itself be a postcard for Bruges. Situated within a 1 minute walk to the town center. Barbara was absolutely great with pre-arrival communication & meeting us when we got there. If we are ever in Bruges again (& I hope we are someday soon) we will definitely stay there again. One minor note to consider is that the stairs leading to upper floor are at a steep incline so be careful especially if you have large luggage. That, however, is very minor and we loved every bit of this place.
I'm happy to hear that you had a lovely time in Bruges,
it was nice to meet you , your wife and your little girl
and who know's if you ever come back,
you're more then welcome in Axelle's House.
