About Vanessa Potter

We are retired doctors who live in the area and have 3 children and 3 grand children who live in London.

Vanessa Potter purchased this house in 2009

Why Vanessa Potter chose Whitstable

We bought it to have an interest in our retirement and also so that our family and grand children can enjoy visiting Whitstable for weekends and holidays. The house is therefore well set up for under 5 year olds at moment and will change as grand children grow!

What makes this house unique

House set up with toys etc for little boys! Very close to beach which children enjoy and close to restaurants etc as well.

this is family holiday home equipped to cope with babies and toddlers. There are a few toys and books in the house for this age group. There is a very convenient Corner store nearby which serves meals from breakfast onwards during day and sells essentials as well. Car Parking is difficult in Whitstable in the summer.Parking is available in front of the house for unloading but then after 1 hour the car needs to be moved round the corner to the adjoining street.

Terrific experience

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect time staying in Whitstable. The cottage was within a stones throw to the beach, cafes, shops and restaurants. Windy Corner Cafe and Birdies are 2of our many favorite places. The cottage had everything we needed; excellent shower, washer, strong internet connection , comfy beds, and a private garden. People are very friendly and helpful.

We arrived on cycles and found it easy to keep them in the back garden then ride off to Canterbury ,Sandwich, Seasalter, Faversham, or a coastal route.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Friends from Belgium joined us for 2 days and were also charmed by the fisherman's cottage and Whitstable.

Location is amazing.

  • 4 of 5

Very nice house, location is second to none. We managed ok with parking around corner.

Nice bottle of wine to welcome us,

our 40th anniversary.

Few issues are

No freezer.

No working light on steep stairs.

Less beds than booked for, cot in one bedroom no bed.

Owners turned up twice ..... they were very nice. We did feel as though checking things out.

One day to tie up vines.

Another day to put rubbish out.

BUT I'm glad we went, location is beautiful. Our 4th time at WHITSTABLE.

Our extended family members stayed close by .

Very cosy and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Lovely little cottage very comfy and homely. Every thing you need is at hand. Can't complain about it at all ,the only things I would mention however but not a complaint are could do with an ice compartment in the fridge, just for ice or ice-cream maybe, stairs are a bit steep to visit the bathroom during the night ,the little cot room would make a perfect ensuite, the cot could easily be put in bedroom. I would definitely recommend this cottage to my family and friends. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Fantastic property in perfect location

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in Whitstable. The property was brilliantly located, close to the seafront and close to the town centre. The cottage was clean, comfortable and welcoming (and we manages to get parking close by). Wonderful.
