Guestbook comments from the owner

We feel privileged to have been able to stay in your beautiful cottage. It's a hidden gem and so thoughtfully furnished. We have everything we could have wished for! This is our first visit to Tenby and we've totally fallen in love with it and Chattaway House. The sun has shone all week, we've been so lucky! Have loved being so central to all the wonderful shops, bars and restaurants and enjoyed returning to the sanctuary of the cottage. Our favourite place to eat has been Normandie, favourite pub Hope and Anchor and early morning coffee at Café Vista. We've made some wonderful memories here and will certainly be back soon!

Fantastic little hideaway!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely week that had at Chattaway! Absolutely brilliant! Clean, comfortable and quiet. Everything that you needed was there, and shops, restaurants and cafes weren't too far (approx 2 mins walk). Perfect location in Tenby, with parking only a few minutes walk down the road! The renovation of Chattaway is amazing and I would definitely recommend to anyone. Great touch with the wine, milk and sugar! Thank you Bex & Dave x

Lovely Cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice one-week stay in February in Chattaway House. As the previous comments state this is a lovely place to stay. There are many positives about the cottage. It has a brilliant location in the heart of Tenby. It is very clean and has modern furnishings. The cottage was warm and the owners provide a parking permit that means you can park your car just a couple of minutes away. The owners are very helpful, there are clear instructions on all the appliances and it is very easy to pick up the key.

There were no real negatives but be aware if WiFi is important the connection can be temperamental. Also the apartment would benefit from a little library of a few books on the town, local area and its history so that you could read and research places before you go walking or visiting.

It is an ideal place for two people to stay and we will recommend Chattaway House to our friends. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank You.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review our property and saying such nice things about it. It means a lot that we are making people's stay as good as we can. I think at the time of your stay there was a problem with the internet supply from BT as we were not the only ones to have problems and it also made the news. Generally we don't seem to have any issues. We do provide a welcome pack in the property with most of the literature that the tourist information office supply about Tenby and the surrounding area but will look into finding some books on the history, maybe from the museum in the town. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.

Very comfortable stay

  • 5 of 5

This is our first stay in this cottage, and I have to say it's a hidden little gem, attention to detail is amazing, the owners have thought of everything you need, will be booking for 2 weeks next year, everything you need is right on your doorstep, you can park your car up in the allocated parking bay just up the road and forget about it,the beaches are amazing, the owners aim to please, reported the TV in the bedroom does not come on within 2 hrs when we had returned from our walk we had a brand new one put in there, was amazed how quickly they attended to it and on a bank holiday weekend too five star place would recommend to anyone thank you Bex and dave 😘xx

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely review. It is importance to us that our guests stay in the cottage is as good as it can be and to provide a standard that we ourselves would be happy with. It means a lot when this is appreciated and that we receive acknowledgement for our efforts, we feel like we are getting things right. Thank you for your booking and we look forward to seeing you again next year, Bex and Dave.

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage lived up to all what the description stated, in fact better than.My wife and I had a lovely week in Tenby in spite of the poor weather and found the extra time we spent in the cottage very relaxing.

NEW RENOVATION JUST FINISHED!

Chattaway House within the historic walled town of Tenby is the only original Medieval house left nestled in St Mary’s Church grounds and is a perfect hide away. Walk out of the front door through the court yard and down a small drang (short alley way) and you are in the heart of Tenby with great access to shops and restaurants and within 2 minutes walk to any one of the beaches. There are three fabulous blue flag beaches and boat trips are available from the harbour around the clear waters offering great opportunities to spot dolphins, seals and the other abundant wildlife or take a trip to Caldey Island to see the Cistercian monks and sample the home made chocolate.

Walk along Tenby's South Beach toward Giltar Point and join the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for fantastic views of Caldey Island and discover some of Pembrokeshire’s many hidden coves. Walk the narrow cobbled streets of the old town lined with elegant Georgian properties or sit in one of the many cafes which offer alfresco dinning during peak season and people-watch visitors to the many gift shops, restaurants and public houses.

Chattaway House is also perfectly located for offering easy access to Pembrokeshire’s many visitors’ attractions such as Tenby golf courses, Oakwood and Heatherton theme parks, Anna’s Welsh Zoo and many more, or visit one of Pembrokeshire’s castles, Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew castles are all within a 15 min drive.

Tenby can also offer plenty to do for the more active holidaymakers with yachting, sea kayaking, windsurfing, and surfing and for the more extreme sporting enthusiasts’ coasteering (jumping off the cliffs into the clear blue seas!).

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing holiday, romantic escape, or an active fun filled holiday, Tenby can offer it all and Chattaway House is the perfect base.
