About the property

Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, sitting room, dining room, kitchen and garden

Fabulous property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for our Grandsons graduation from Royal Navy. The property is fabulous. It is right in Fareham and only a short drive to HMS Collingwood. It is also really handy for Portsmouth. Would highly recommend this property.

Very well situated nice old house.

  • 4 of 5

Very nice and cosy old house. It has all the comfort you need. When we came in, the refrigerator didn't work but a replacement was quickly brought in. Please note that here and there the ceilings and other conveniences like the shower are not intended for large size people like myself (2 m.) - so mind your head. Good location...

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and yes, in a very old cottage ceiling heights can be a bit of a problem for taller people. Thank you also for being so understanding about the fridge problem. We have had to replace the whole unit as it was not possible, after two engineer visits, to repair. Hope you to welcome you back one day.

Very quaint and comfortable in convenient location

  • 5 of 5

Three of us visited on a 'sibling' trip and with 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms the accommodation was ideal. The house is very old and interesting and also very comfortable with all modern conveniences and with a west facing 'patio' for evening drinks etc. It would have been interesting to have had some info on the history of the building/street/church to look at - if it was there I didn't see it. Fareham itself is perfectly placed to visit Portsmouth (20 mins), Gosport (15 mins) and surrounds by car. Incidentally, you might want to note that free parking is arranged for you about 3-4 mins walk away but we were able to stop outside for a few mins to unload and load. All in all a brilliant break and I would stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. It is always good to know when people enjoy their stay. Thank you also for the tip re the property's history - we will get something done on that and put it in the welcome folder. The cottage dates back to the 17th century and was at one time a school and then a bakery.
