Situated within walking distance of Meadfoot Beach and Torquay’s popular attractions; The Dorchesters provides the ultimate holiday home for families, friends of up to 8.

Exterior ~

The luxury execuative home enjoys a private gated entrance with one secure parking space beyond, and sits amongst peaceful residential surroundings, with its very own pretty front and back gardens. Extra cars can be parked on the quiet 'cul-de-sac' road directly in front of the property.

Ground Floor ~

Providing immaculate accommodation over two floors, the spacious interior is finished to an exceptional contemporary standard.

The ground floor is ideal for entertaining, with a large open plan living area and a second sitting room perfect for relaxing. The plush soft furnishings, satellite television with movie & sports package' and stylish fireplace, ignite this home's ambience.

The open plan kitchen and dining room is strikingly contemporary, with a beautiful informal open space illuminated by the floor-to-ceiling glazed garden view doors and a skylight feature kitchen, which is family-friendly and fully-equipped.

The stylish dining area for up to 6 can be extended outside on an additional ‘alfresco’ dining terrace with table & chairs for 8 in the garden.

For guests’ convenience, there is also a modern utility room offering full laundry facilities, a cloakroom WC, a high chair and travel cot.

First Floor ~

Upstairs accommodates up to 8 guests and comprises of four bedrooms and two contemporary fitted bathrooms.

The spacious master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, satellite TV and a luxury en-suite shower room with a power shower. The second bedroom’s large windows open onto a faux balcony, leaving an two additional clean & bright double bedrooms.

A family bathroom fitted with a bathtub and overhead shower completes the first floor of this Torquay haven.

Location ~

From The Dorchesters, guests can easily walk to Meadfoot Beach, famous for being the childhood haunt of Agatha Christie. The beautiful Devon coastline is also a joy to explore by bike or foot on the breath-taking South West Coastal Path.

Torquay is easily accessible from this splendid holiday home, and offers a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops to enjoy, as well as family-friendly visitor attractions including Living Coasts Sea Life Centre, Dinosaur World and Torquay’s marina and Victorian pleasure gardens.

Guests can also enjoy the picturesque Cockington Country Park, Paignton Zoo and Kents Cavern nearby. The Torquay coast also offers a wide range of sporting activities from sailing, surfing, fishing to golf, canoeing and horse riding.

Guests are within easy driving distance of Dartmoor National Park and any of Devon’s archaic 40+ National Trust properties.

The Dorchesters is an amazing property, a home from home, very stylishly decorated to a high standard. It was a real pleasure to have stayed there. Would definitely come back.

The only things which would have made our stay even more enjoyable would have been to have a swimming pool but I guess you cant have everything!!

A great family house!

The Dorchesters is a new addition to the rental market in Torquay and has been furnished to a very good standard. The weather was rather chilly but the property provided a warm and comfortable retreat. It is only ten minutes walk down to the harbour and five minutes to the nearby Meadfoot beach.

As noted in the listing, only one car park space is available within the grounds, and additional parking is on the road outside. Be aware that coaches service the nearby hotels and the road is narrow.

We had our two year old granddaughter with us and so we enjoyed visits to Paignton Zoo and the model village at Babbacombe. There is an award winning fish restaurant Hanberrys worth checking out in Babbacombe.

We enjoyed a great family holiday and would recommend this property.

All linen and towels are included in the tariff with the exception of beach towels. Linen & towels are only changed weekly and the house is only cleaned following departure or midway through a 2 week booking. There is also a cot, high chair & stair gate for guests use. The luxury new-build home enjoys a private gated entrance and sits amongst peaceful residential surroundings, to create a lovely tranquil Torquay haven from which guests can enjoy their perfect Devon getaway. With one secure parking space beyond the gated paved driveway, other friends and family can park a second car if needed on the road directly in front.
