It is located in the historic city center, 200 meters from Bolhão metro station, in downtown in a century-old building, very quiet on the street Joy, very close to the Majestic cafe. In addition to the balcony to enjoy breakfast or late afternoon it is very well located from which to explore the city.

Perfect Pied a Terre in Porto

We were two sisters on a mini break in Porto. Henrique's apartment looked perfect and it was. Nicely and simply furnished, quiet, and off the tourist beaten track but close enough to join in the fun. Henrique was a sympathetic host, met us kindly on arrival even though we were delayed and allowed us to leave our suitcase in the apartment on the final day until our late afternoon departure. This was a blessing as wandering around the hills of Porto with a heavy suitcase can spoil even a city as lovely as Porto. Henrique recommended a couple of restaurants which worked nicely for us. We were able to walk to all the major attractions although the hills added quite a few steps to our progress! We loved Porto and hope to return and would definitely stay in Henrique's apartment if it were available. We only had breakfasts in the apartment as restaurants and markets were too tempting. There is no washing machine but there is a laundrette just across the street for long stay guests. Three minute walk to the Mercado for excellent produce. Cafes within two minutes walk both up and down the street and five minutes to Cafe Majestic if you have the funds for breakfast there!

Bijou apartment in perfect location

This well appointed apartment was perfect for our 4 days in Porto. The beds were really comfortable though we could have done with an extra pillow.

Lots of hot water, trouble free WiFi and we felt safe and secure here

The balcony caught the afternoon and evening sun and was great to relax in after a busy day seeing the sights.

We couldn’t believe how quick it was to walk to the D. luis bridge to get across to the port houses. We took an English tour at Ferreira which was great ( make sure you pre book any port house visit)

Henrique was a great host from the moment we booked, he gave us some great restaurant tips too. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Good experience in Porto

The apartment was as described and in an excellent location. We were able to walk everywhere and enjoyed being so close to the pedestrian street of Santa Caterina. Unfortunately we were unable to use the balcony much because it was cool and rainy most of the time. The apartment was clean with comfortable beds. All we really needed for our stay in Porto.

Für 2 Personen ideal.

Apartment recently restored in emblematic building in the center of Porto, in the historic and the Douro River area, as sights, stand out of the Clerics Tower, Serralves Foundation, a museum of contemporary art and the Museum of Contemporary Art of the museums most visited country, where works of art of various contemporary artists are also displayed next to the typical flora of the northern region of Portugal in the surrounding Serralves Park.

Foz is another highly tourist area, considered by many the most beautiful part of town, where you can enjoy the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean coupled with a beautiful and romantic promenade. Today, the city of Porto receives over one million tourists a year, having become one of the most visited cities in Europe.

Still in evidence, is the Bolhão Market, an architectural symbol of traditional commerce, where the famous saleswomen Market, characteristic of the city.

The historic site can find many points of trade, squares and historic buildings, which are the source of the city as the Cathedral.

The city has more than 10 000 annual events, from concerts, through theaters, exhibitions or even parties with famous disc jockeys at several nightclubs and bars.

However, the most fun event remains the Saint John Port, from 23 to 24 June, when thousands of people invade the city streets. This event is to highlight the sardinhadas, the basil with their Sanjoaninas courts, the leek, the hammering and the parish bailaricos.

Various dishes of traditional Portuguese cuisine originated in the city of Porto. The typical dish par excellence of the city are the Tripe Porto, historical and dish dating back to the time of the Portuguese discoveries, and which can be found in many of the restaurants in town. Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá is another typical dish born in Porto and popular in Portugal. The Frenchie is the recent cuisine, the most famous dish, and consists of a sandwich stuffed with various meats (usually beef, sausage, fresh sausage and ham) and covered with cheese and a special sauce (francesinha sauce). The famous caldo verde, Porto is also a dish.

The drink that has the city name is the Port wine is produced in the wine region of Alto Douro (the oldest demarcated region of the world). Port wine is exported internationally from the caves which are situated on the left bank of the River Douro, in Vila Nova de Gaia.
