St Margaret’s Bay is surrounded by National Trust land in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is conveniently position for day trips to London or France/Belgium.
We had a wonderful two weeks holiday in this very well presented apartment. Situated in a stunning location, very well suited for walking, the beach and exploring the lovely country side.
The apartment is very well equipped with attention to detail, clean and quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

As soon as we entered the apartment we sensed a feeling of calm. The interior design has been very carefully thought out to provide deep comfort. I know you may think cream can be a bit 'beigy' but trust us Jenny, the proprietor ,knows how to integrate a colour palette with nuances of colour and texture. It's truly delightful.The ambient lighting, the wooden floors, the generous sofas, the heating already on and cosy. The apartment is in excellent condition. Box fresh as they say! The kitchen is generously sized and very well equipped. You'll not have to struggle to find anything [and we are cooks!]. The bathroom and bedroom offers a bit of a 'wow' factor. A touch of the 'boutique' hotel, at a fraction of the price! You can sit in bed and watch the wonderously changing rhythm of the sea. But perhaps what matters most is the warm friendly welcome. Being techno-phobes, when we couldn't work out the TV [despite very clear instructions!], Tim came to our rescue with a ready smile. Their hard work and commitment to our pleasure made the holiday a sheer delight. We say curl up on the sofa and read 'Coast' magazine, generously supplied, and dream of that fizzy cava soon to come your way! And oh yes the coastal walks, available from your doorstep, blow all your worries away and remind you what you are living for!
We have stayed here multiple times because we love the place.
We have very high standards and all of these are met here. This apartment is very clean and all you need is here. There's also a washing machine and a dishwasher.
The view from the bedroom is spectacular. Some days you can see France. The sound of the sea is calming.
Jenny is extremely efficient when dealing with all enquiries and nothing is too much trouble.
You are ideally located to explore all of Kent from here.
If you want to stay here book early - it's well admired.
This was our second visit to Calais-View appartement and both times it was wonderful. The view over the channel and the beach are really great and inspiring.
The appartement is comfortable, cozy and elegant. It is very well equipped and everything is designed tastefully and in beautiful colours.

St Margaret's Bay is a beautiful leafy coastal village in the heart of the famous White Cliffs Country, surrounded by National Trust Land in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is conveniently positioned between the pretty seaside resort of Deal and the Port of Dover and is only 25 minutes drive to the historic City of Canterbury and the Cinque Port Medieval town of Sandwich. The fast train connects to London in 1 hour from Dover and day trips to France via ferry or the Channel Tunnel are an easy option with the accommodation being so close to the port.
St Margaret's Bay is a hidden gem sheltered from the North Winds, ideal for walks encompassing some of the finest scenery in the Garden of England.
Dover, Deal and Walmer Castles are only 15 minutes by car and can also be reached along many of the fabulous cliff-top and coastal walks. The area is rich in historic houses, gardens and is surrounded by many traditional character Kentish villages.

Where 'week only' bookings are indicated, these can be offered as short breaks 1 week in advance of the booking period. The price for the short breaks will be 65% of the above price for 3 days and 75% for 4 days.
Changeover days are Friday from April to October.

Any variation of the arrival day must be agreed with the owner in advance.
Booking - A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking. The balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday.
