Vacation Cottage
This property was all and more than advertised. Beautiful view, even thought the weather didn't cooperate. Well stocked and very roomy. And very comfortable. We will return again, when the weather is better

House has a great location on the lake. Lots of space inside and out!
The kitchen is fully stocked for your enjoyment and overall has all the amenities you could want. The house may not have been rented in a few weeks because there were dead bugs by the outside door and a couple of corners. It was very cold while we were there and the heat (once it warmed up) kept up. The bedroom area got a lot warmer than the remainder of the house even after closing the upstairs heating vent. Overall, great stay.

We were not very happy with the clenliness of this property.
Our two year old lost his toy car under one of yhe dressers. When he pulled it out he also pulled out an old sock and a disgusting amount of garbage and dust. When we looked under the dresser and bed it became obvious that the cleaners do not dust under anything. In addition to the dust they had several mouse traps set up in the home. This property showed no pride of ownership at all.

Wonderful
House was absolutely wonderful!!!! I have rented houses for years and this one by far was the most supplied unlike any other.,. The kitchen had everything one could ask for and the supply of towels and linens were more than enough for our 8 family members! The only down side was not having access safe to use for several of our elderly parents to the lake but that's common for pretty much all the lakes I have been to, there is a trail that leads down but not recommended for older people. it was centrally located and a quick drive to boat ramps and a public beach so they could enjoy the lake as well. We enjoyed mammouth cave just 1/2 hour drive, a day in downtown Nashville-a little over an hour away, lost river cave 1/2 hour drive... and of course rented a boat to enjoy as well! Was a great house quiet and relaxing nestled in the woods but close to so many things to do and see! Wonderful vacation and I highly recommend this house for a family vacation!

Great home!
Our family (parents, adult children, and spouses/friends) decided to vacation near Barren Lake, Kentucky, since it wasn't a far drive for any of us (5-6 hours). This house accommodated us perfectly! There were two married couples and 4 other adults. The master bedroom (upstairs) has a king size bed and a master bathroom. There are two bedrooms on the main floor - one with a double bed and the other with two sets of bunk beds. It was perfect for our party of 8. The main floor has a generous, well-equipped kitchen with the extras such as a coffee maker, waffle maker, griddle, and electric skillet and a generous amount of silverware and plates so you don't need to wash dishes after every meal. The ice machine in the freezer had just stopped working but Mike supplied a large bag of us to us, which was appreciated. The kitchen table was nice size (chairs for six but we used the bar stools for the extra two people). There are also two patio tables and 8 chairs on the deck. The living room has two couches and when we wanted to all be in there together, we just moved the chairs from the kitchen table. I am sharing these specifics not as a criticism but just for awareness if your party is larger than six and you plan to spend the entire time together - as we did. There is another small building outside that houses a pool table and that was a blast! A really nice entertainment addition. The house has two single kayaks and a super fun large floating mat that our adults kids LOVED! It also has a canoe-type of boat (we didn't use that). This home has lake access but be mindful that it is a steep climb down to the lake. Again, this was not an issue to us because we just drove 15 minutes to the lake with the kayaks in our pick-up truck. But if you truly desire easy lake access, you will want to be aware that if you have young children or elderly people with you, this may be a challenge. Mike was very easy to work with and very nice. The home was clean and well maintained.
