A Kingdom of Fife Treasure

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the Doocot. It's a beautiful property surrounded by a golf course and stunning scenery, with stables nearby. Elaine and Robert are professional, personable, and extremely caring hosts who provided wonderful, thoughtful amenities and additional items we requested. They are the perfect hosts who honor your privacy but are also available when needed. The apartment was well furnished, clean, well maintained, and simply a great value. We were within easy driving distance to the beach, coastal paths, quaint villages, St. Andrews, Edinburgh, historic sites, and golf courses. This was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it to other travelers. This is one of our all-time favorite places to stay and would love to return again and again. Thank you, Elaine and Robert, for welcoming us and providing such a lovely experience!

Lovely Cottage with all we needed

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were made very welcome with wine, bread, eggs and croissants, which we really appreciated. It was in a beautiful location, and the owner Elaine told us of some local walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and would heartily recommend the cottage. It was so nice to wake to the sound of bird song and to see horses in the nearby fields.

Peaceful and relaxing haven

  • 5 of 5

The Doocot is a lovely cottage set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It was obvious the moment we arrived that the owners have lovingly prepared the cottage so that its guests feel welcome, with everything that is needed for a relaxing holiday. The cottage is very well equipped, with a thoughtful welcome pack on arrival, and there are also lovely outside areas for guests to enjoy sitting outside. The weather was beautiful during our stay and there is plenty to see and do in and around the cottage.

Elaine and Robert are very respectful of guests' privacy but very helpful and on hand if and when needed. Many thanks to you both for your kindness while we were there. We highly recommend this lovely haven.
