Why Joby Mussell chose North Devon

I bought this property nearly 10 years ago due to its great location in the centre of the picturesque village of Croyde and close proximity to the beach. It was ideal for my love of surfing and now ideal for my youny family to share.

What makes this house unique

What makes Priory Stables so ideal is you can literally park your car up in the driveway and not need to get in it again during your stay. You can conveniently walk to the beach and all the hustle and bustle of the village. The decked balcony is a real gem, with it being south facing you can enjoy the sun all day and I have spent many days sunbathing or enjoying a sunset glass of wine.

Lovely Cottage

We had a great stay. Pubs, shops, cafes just 2 min walk round the corner, easy 10 min walk to the beach and lovely footpaths into the hills just at the end of the road. Very relaxing and spacious home. We had 2 adults and 2 dogs staying, but more than enough room for 6 adults when nearby family popped by for lunch. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the back deck. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Beautiful cottage, just a ten minute walk from Croyde beach

A group of 12 of us stayed at the cottage for three nights, for my 30th birthday. The property is clean, with anything you could need for your stay, and set in the gorgeous village of Croyde. Pubs and shops are within 2 minutes and the sandy beach, just ten minutes walk away - perfect for surfing or bodyboarding. Although the property is spacious, especially the living and outdoor areas, 12 adults may have been 2 too many for the bedrooms. If you're taking children though, then 12 would fit just fine.

Fantastic Location in vilaage and near beach

We had a lovey week at this property in Croyde. Upstairs living area was comfortable and spacious with pleasant terrace.

Master bedroom and ensuite were great. Second bedroom was fine but lack of hanging space. Other rooms very cramped. Main shower room needs attention.

Would say it sleeps 6 comfortably. But would visit again as all in all a lvery nice

Perfect Location, would visit again

Great short break here, very friendly owner and great comms before arrival. Never needed to get in touch once there as everything was as described. The location is ideal for Croyde centre and beaches. Great layout for families and the kitchen and dining facilities worked well for us. We ate out but if you wanted to be self catered this would work well here - we only used the facilities for breakfast. Huge dining table and lovely lounge area. No complaints whatsoever. Many thanks.

Great House, fantastic location

We were two families of four and one dog and stayed over the October half term. The house is brilliant because the living space is big enough for all to relax and also to eat comfortably. The kitchen is well organised and great for catering. The bedrooms are fine - the little room off one of the main bedrooms is cosy - our son as the only boy decided to sleep upstairs rather than with his sister. The other bedrooms are all great. Its an easy walk to the beach and to the town centre. We had a really super break. On the practical side the property was very clean and well maintained. If I had one slight niggle it would be that the shower in the main bedroom was difficult to control heat wise but the other shower was great and there was loads of hot water for us all after surfing - key when everyone is cold from the beach. Having three loos was perfect with so many of us! Owner and housekeeper both provided great service - thank you to them. I would highly recommend.
