Cape San Blas is a 15 mile peninsula in a laid back area of the Florida panhandle called the “Forgotten Coast”. The Cape creates an amazing aquatic preserve known as the St. Joseph Bay. Sea life is abundant, but visitors are not. If you are looking for a vacation that offers the peaceful beauty of old Florida and the affordable access to the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf, you’ve come to the right place.
Once you’ve arrived you will discover the area is a mix of traditional legacy beach properties and new developments. “Firefly” is a new build in Bay Hibiscus. Hibiscus is one of the finest developments on the Cape. It offers only a couple of rental properties and thus retains its quiet, refined privacy. Bay Hibiscus is naturally on the Bay side and offers a 500’ pier that stretches into the protected waters of St Joe Bay. The property also includes a beautiful community pool, and private beach access with a gazebo for relaxing and watching amazing sunsets. Firefly overlooks Rish Park and offers an unobstructed panoramic view of the gulf. While you are not directly on the beach, you will not find a more impressive view.
The first floor includes covered parking for up to 4 vehicles under the home, a half bath, beach supplies storage area and a huge outdoor shower. Level two offers two master king suites with well appointed baths, a large bedroom with two twin beds and room for a crib or pack-n-play as well as a bunk room with two twin bunks and another full bath. The third floor features another king bedroom, full bath and a huge open dining, living and kitchen space. There is a large main dining table that seats eight as well as another table that seats 4 and a kids table with 4 kid’s chairs is also available. All levels offer gulf facing decks with ample seating to take in the evening sunsets. The third level also offers a quaint rear deck with a BBQ grill and outdoor bar. The rear deck provides a great place for morning coffee overlooking a stocked fishing pond and the sunrise over St Joseph’s Bay.
