Loved it

Very friendly couple who own the apartment they make you feel very welcome on your arrival. They speak English and French. Very clean apartment with everything you need for your stay. Grounds are excellent for relaxing . The grounds have a swimming pool and restaurant and the food is first class. I can not fault anything about my stay at Dona Carlota . Thank you Alain for your hospitality and I look forward to booking for next year.

Probably the nicest place we have stayed in.

The first impression as you walk up the pathway, past the swimming pool to the entrance to the courtyard could not be better, it is simply beautiful – big trees and beautiful flowers. Then you go into the courtyard and it just gets better…orange and banana trees and a lovely old fountain...this is a listed building for good reason, you really could not wish for a nicer place to be based for your holiday. The apartment itself is spacious and cool, a proper double bed is a nice bonus. Kitchen equipment is fine and the balcony is in full sun from 1500 until sunset. It’s about 600m to the beach and a similar distance to the Mercadona, bus stop for Malaga is about 300m away and the railway station is about 800m away. Yet for all this I don’t think I have stayed anywhere quieter, there is very little traffic noise and the atmosphere in the whole complex is so peaceful. We loved it and will be back again next year.

The property was as expected and met our needs perfectly.

This property was close to the beach and the promenade which has lots of shops and wonderful restaurants, too many to chose from. There is a travel agent 2 blocks down where we booked a tour to Ronda, a must see (although the bus tour is long, driving along the mountain is breathtaking). The beach was also quite nice and had lots of choices to either rent a lounge chair for the day or bring your own which the owners had for us. Both Alain and Claudine were very helpful on our arrival and kept in contact during our stay. Since they were coming to the area when we were leaving, they also drove us to the airport, I would highly recommend this property, can't wait to visit again!

Impressive Building and Gardens

The property is well situated halfway between Montemar station and the promenade. It is on a hill so you need to have strong legs! You cannot fail to be impressed by the building, a Grand Design on two floors with the imposing entrance archway leading through to a peaceful courtyard with well stocked flower beds, two ornamental pools and a fountain. The courtyard is bordered by marble walkways with Doric columns supporting the upper balcony. A marble staircase leads to the upper level where this apartment is situated.

The apartment doesn't disappoint either. Its well furnished with all mod cons should you require them. The bathroom has a bath with a powerful over bath shower. From the lounge area double doors lead on to your own private terrace which catches the afternoon sun.

The gardens outside the courtyard are well maintained and the pool is clean and a good size (we often had it to ourselves). There is a "club house" situated near to the pool for drinks and snacks. This was closed for holidays when we stayed, which wasn't a problem to us. There is a good "Supermercado" supermarket within easy walking distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you visit I'm sure you will too.

A lovely apartment in a beautiful complex. Very comfortable and fully equipped accommodation, with a nice cafe/ bar beside the large pool and very close to the beach, bars, supermarkets and restaurants. I would have no hesitation in returning to Alain's apartment, or recommending it to anyone else, and I shall be contacting him to see if it is available for my visits next year. First class holiday spot.

Appartement très propre, lumineux et très bien équipé. Il est situé dans une magnifique résidence privée avec arbres, espaces verts et jardins.Une épicerie et arrêt d'autobus au bas de la rue et la mer à quelques minutes de marche. Les propriétaires Alain et Claudine sont très sympathiques , à votre écoute et faciles à rejoindre. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et comptons bien y retourner. Merci Alain et Claudine.
