Why Ree Beavers chose Dubois
The appeal of the privacy and seclusion of this property with Wind River frontage located inside the Wind River Indian Reservation made this a not to be missed property. Getting in on the "tiny house" movement we lovingly renovated this 400 SF fishing cabin. It sits on the site of the original Yellowstone Highway with the old road bed still visible in spots. Carriages with old west adventurers traveled by this site for refreshments and lodging on trips to to Yellowstone and California. Experience a taste of the past as you enjoy the solitude this property has to offer. .
What makes this Cabin unique
Private Wind River access inside the Wind River Indian Reservation - world class fishing on the Wind! This private area has been fished so infrequently over the years because of it's location inside the reservation - an angler's dream vacation spot! Record brown trout are awaiting you!

So cute and remote!
Although we had a difficult time finding the cabin (drove around town for over an hour!) We were pleasantly surprised once we got there. The water seems to be pretty high with sulfur, but there is a Brita to filter your drinking water. Be sure to look out for a red wooden canoe labeled "Red Rocks"...that is actually where you will want to turn to find the cabin. It is tucked away down by the river (you can't see it from the road) and If you put the address in your GPS it will not bring you anywhere near the cabin. It has everything you could need once you get there!
We are glad you found us! We provide detailed directions in our cabin information book because it is so hidden (which makes it so wonderful). The boat is used as a landmark (boat is green with "Red Rocks" written in red - a cute little feature to help locate). I'm not sure what was up with the water. We test often and have never found sulphur or had an issue. There is a water treatment system and the filter is replaced monthly. Will surely see what's going on with that. Some guests are uncomfortable with drinking well water (especially if coming from a city with a municipal water source) so the Brita filter offers a solution for that if desired. We're thrilled you enjoyed the private location on the river (once you found it:). It's a perfect hideaway spot! We hope to see you again - summers are nice, too:) Happy Trails, Ree Beavers, Owner/Wind River Property Group, LLC
Dubois River cabin
The location was great right on the river. Loved the solitude and the cabin was well appointed.
We are happy you enjoyed your stay at our river hideaway! We have exciting plans for next year - we break ground soon for a master addition we'll be adding. We'll now have a private master bedroom allowing peace and quiet away from the den/kitchen/bath areas. We hope you'll come back and check out this new update! We hope to have a greenhouse as well for guest use:) See you again! Happy Trails, Ree Beavers/cabin owner/Wind River Property Group
You won't regret your stay at the cabin, great place and close to town. Absolutely stunning views of the sun set :)
Aren't the sunsets the BEST? We are so glad you enjoyed your time at our little hideaway. It's a special place and we're happy we can share it with guests. We hope to see you again:) Happy Trails, Ree Beavers/owner and the Wind River Property Group Team

Perfect for my needs.
71 year old male, traveling alone. I couldn't have drawn it up in a dream an had it any better. Wind river sounds just outside the bedroom. First day wasted driving to Jackson Hole. Too many tourists. 3 great days of trail riding on forestry service roads, right from the cabin. 3 totally different landscapes. Fire pit was an added touch. Only one of the 3 cabins I had on this trip that had WIFI and TV. Amazon Firestick worked better that at home. I have a policy about a great vacation from many years ago, You simply can't repeat it. But this is one I would try again. I had 4,907 glorius miles this dtrip and it was all awsome.
Rustic with a great riverside location.
Enjoyed the stay tremendously. Cabin was right sized for the 2 of us but additional people for the hideaway bed would have been a bit tight. River and bluff views were great and we had champagne in lawnchairs on the riverbank at sunset. Mileage from Crowheart general store was 14.5 miles and not 10 miles as stated in the directions. Would have been tricky to find at night but the boat was easy to see during the day. Didn't start a fire due to restrictions. Dubois was a great little town.
This cabin is located just ten minutes east of Dubois, the "last of the Old West" in Wyoming, offering shopping, dining, outdoor adventure, and more. The property itself sits just inside the Wind River Indian Reservation and on the Wind River, which holds brown trout, cutthroat, and rainbows, and has some of the country's best angling. Enjoy mountain biking, road cycling, hiking, backpacking and camping, fishing, horseback riding, ATVs, and more in this incredible area surrounding Dubois and the greater Yellowstone/Grand Teton parks. The cabin is also just an hour from Lander, Wyoming, which offers live music, breweries, more great food and Sinks Canyon Park, with renowned year-round rock climbing, hiking, and swimming. Come on out and explore Wyoming today!
