Quiet Lake and Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

Large double deck and stairs down to boat dock and lakefront beach make for terrific outdoor living space with beautiful views of the lake. Add to that the hot tub and you have what you really search for in lakefront relaxation. We had brought extra beach chairs for our stay but house could certainly use more lounging chairs on the deck. Plenty of outdoor space. Interior of the house modern, clean and just bright because of large windows facing the lake. Master bedroom suite has same beautiful window views of the lake. House is well equipped with modern amenities. Must understand that to access 2 queen beds in loft you need to climb a ladder. Not an issue for either our adults or children. Loft beds separated by storage area so not fully enclosed bedrooms but private enough. Having the multiple kayaks and paddle boards with the Boston whaler made for great recreation on the lake. Nice rock to jump off of (10ft) on little island on other side of lake. Suggest you bring a few inflatable rafts to enjoy tranquil floating. This part of the lake is even more tranquil than the rest of the lake. Kitchen and Living quarters a bit tight for 12 people if you are forced to be only inside--which we were not. Most important is Nicki the owner handled any issue immediately. Nice to work with people who care about their renters. Word of advice on first arriving is to take hard first left when you get off paved road and go to end of dirt road as signage not clear. If you are looking for a relaxing lakefront vacation on a quiet lake you have found your spot.

Lovely spot...

  • 4 of 5

We loved it. Unfortunately we had rainy days. Living space cramp for 6 adults and 5 children. We really enjoyed all the boats available. It is a beautiful spot and we saw 2 Loons. One suggestion would be to have more outdoor furniture. There were only 5 chairs for sitting around fire pit and the deck had a table 6 chairs and 2 lounges. Definitely could use more outdoor furniture. All in all everyone had a wonderful time. Beautiful place,Beautiful spot.

Beautiful home and lake

  • 4 of 5

My family really enjoyed our stay here at Loon Song. Gorgeous home and lake. We loved having access to the kayaks, paddle boards and boat too. The jacuzzi was a big hit too. It's a perfect quiet, family get away.

Fantastic vacation house and grounds

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with our 5 young kids. The house is perfect. One of our sons has severe allergies and has ended up in the ER from being in other rental houses (too many dust mites) but this house is so clean and uncluttered that my son was the picture of health the entire trip. The house itself is beautiful, just beautiful. The beds, pillows and blankets are all very comfortable. And the extra blankets are insanely soft. One of my 6 year old tried to smuggle one out when we left but since he was completely wrapped in it, I caught on pretty quickly and returned it. There are a ton of fans in the house so you never get hot. The kitchen is fully stocked with very nice dishes, glasses, mugs, bowls, pots and pans. The house also has laundry detergent (no fabric softner), dish washing detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, dish and hand soap, and garbage bags. Bring your own tin foil, saran wrap, baggies if you want to store any left overs.

The multi-tiered deck is so nice and has a beautiful view. There is a big hot tub that is really nice. The beach area is perfect for kids (and adults- we count too, right?). There are very few houses on this lake with an actual beach. And it's sandy! Not mucky like a lot of lake front space. I think the owners brought in extra sand to make it that much nicer. And then there are all water crafts! There are 2 new paddle boards that are beyond fun. There are 2 new single person kayaks that are awesome! And then there is this blow-up raft thing that fits a lot of people. We took that behind the motorboat one day. And the motorboat is a 1969 Boston Whaler with a new engine, pretty sweet! Just be careful getting out past "the rock" (about 20 ft from the beach). There are tons of rocks right below surface to the right (if looking from shore) to the right of it. If you go to the left of the rock, you are safe with the outboard motor but just go really slowly or row out past the rock before turning on the engine just to be safe. There is also a 2 person kayak if you want to share rowing with someone and get along well enough not to want to hit each other with the paddles mid-trip, needless to say, we only took that out once. There are 3 old school and 2 new life jackets for adults and then 3 small life jackets for kids under 3. If you need other sizes, bring your own.

And Nicki, the home owner, is very kind, attentive and helpful. We had a wonderful stay, thank you!!

Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing week in this beautiful home. The kitchen is well equipped and the house, grill and outside spaces were all very clean and well maintained. Having the kayaks and other water toys available is a plus. The setting is very private. Our Labrador, Fiona, had a wonderful week as well. We'll be back!

Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second year renting here and it was fabulous again! There are some quirks - as with all places - but the owner Nicki and the caretaker Dan were both super nice and helpful. They even added new kayaks this year which were truly appreciated by us all. We've rented many places over the years and several times on Trout Lake and this is by far our favorite property. It is more expensive than others, but you truly get what you pay for! There is something for everyone at this property. We're hopeful that our family can all plan another trip together here next year!
