What a fantastic place to stay!!
We had a superb weekend at the property. It felt like a real home from home. There was so much available to enhance our stay; nothing was forgotten. We would like to say a huge thank you to Diney for all the extras. A wonderful stay. Thank you from 3 very happy ex-Pompey Uni students!! We hope to be back.
Ideal cottage for our short stya in Southsea
Thanks for your kind comments in the guest book. Hope we can help out again another time.
Lovely, cosy house
This house was so cozy for our Autumn break. The owner has such attention to detail, thinking of everything to make the stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
Glad you had a good Autumn break . You certainly had Autumn weather!
A home from home
Stayed here as was running in the Great South Run. Booking was easy, communication with the owner was easy & was very prompt. Owner messaged to advise of parking on the day, due to run more traffic than usual. On arrival gaining access to the property was easy. My friend I aabsolutely fell in love with it. The owner had set the table for 3 people as my partner was due to come too. After a long journey from Manchester all you want is a brew, the owner had kindly left us some milk & some other essentials. There was a few small touches that just made it a welcoming & comfy stay. Beds were very comfy too. I will be back next year for sure, even looking at a break in December. Thank you so much. V xxx
..and thank you for the gifts you left us . Such a pleasure to have you . We take our hats off to you for doing the Great South Run.

Home away from home
We spent six days in this lovely cottage and felt entirely at ease, well taken care of, cosy and at home. We loved returning here after work on cold rainy days. The cottage is very well equipped, easy to be in, very comfortable and in a great location. Parking was no problem, communication with Diney was excellent - we had a wonderful six days calling this our home from home. Diney and Geoff have thought of everything people staying in the house may need . We arrived on a blustery, chilly, torrential rain of a day (that stayed with us for most of our stay) and were thrilled to find bread, butter, milk, tea coffee, ice and wine waiting for us alongside a whole host of other lovely treats - allowing us to just hole up and not have to go out again. Many thanks to our gracious and generous hosts - we had a terrific time and would definitely recommend this lovely Victorian cottage with it's gorgeous gardens and well thought out space - perfect for two or three people but would also work well for two parents and a child. We were there for a hybrid of leisure and business - the house definitely works for both leisure and work travellers - with great wifi, plenty of power outlets and space for working as well as space for families hang out, pull out one of the many jigsaw puzzles/games. Highly recommend.
Thanks for taking the time to write this detailed review. Much appreciated . Glad you had a good stay in spite of the weather.
A lovely home-from-home
We had an all too brief stay at this lovely cottage, our base while we explored Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard. for a couple of days.
The owners were friendly and helpful, they left us with everything we needed to feel immediately at home.
I hope it's avaible when we return next year!
Glad you liked it . You might like to try the Victorian Christmas Festival in the dockyard one year . It’s a great event over the last weekend in November.
We recommend Nicholsons , Rosies jazz wine bar ,10th hole tea rooms , the Still and West pub , Pie and Vinyl for eating though there are numerous eateries serving every cuisine in Portsmouth. Dockyard is a must ,Fish and Chips on the pier,Ice creams from the Southsea beach cafe ,The artists at the hot walls at Old Portsmouth, Gun Wharf Quays for shopping. Please ask as there are theme parks such as Paultons Park and Manor Farm slightly further afield . The New Forest or the South Downs make a lovely day trip or the cathedral towns of Chichester or Winchester. There is a very safe sandy beach at West Wittering. Numerous theatre and music venues including Kings Theatre , Guildhall , New Theatre Royal , The Wedgewood Rooms, The Square Tower, The Pyramids.....
