Broadband internet however as it is supplied by a 3rd party this cannot be guaranteed. Satellite TV. 200 mts. from sea.The Apartment is situated in the traditional Spanish town of La Mata. Situated 200mts from the European Blue Flag award winning beach, great restaurants and bars, the apartment is the perfect location for a fun packed family holiday with water parks and a National park all within a ten minute drive. La Mata is situated less than an hours drive from Murcia and Alicante Airports and transfers to the apartment can be arranged. The apartment itself has two bedrooms(one with double bed and one with two single beds), two recently tiled and renewed bathrooms with 2 showers and bath plus a good sized kitchen with new Fridge freezer, oven, new microwave, new washing machine. The living area has 2 sofas table and chairs, TV with DVD. The apartment occupies the second and third floor with a large roof terrace above equipped with loungers, table and chairs and a barbecue. in order to access the property there are quite a lot of steps up to the apartment door.There is also a balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the communal pool and with sea views,and sun canopy if shade is needed. Bed linen and towels are provided. Both Bedrooms and sitting room are Air Conditioned.

Situated close to Torrevieja, Guardamar, La Mata is located on the coast a short distance from Alicante and Murcia airport. La Mata has lots of local attractions including cafes, bars and restaurants. There are also high street shops, banks, internet cafés and local Supermarket. If you need a larger supermarket Carrefour Supermarket nearby in Torrevieja which is only a ten minute drive or there is a regular bus service every 30 minutes to Torrevieja.

Family attraction within a ten minute drive include one of Costa Blanca's largest water parks, Sports Centre, Ten pin bowling alley, Cinema, and La Mata Waterwheel Park. Why not try bathing in the salt lagoons around La Mata or visit the surrounding Parc Natural de La Mata Spanish nature reserve, which attracts a huge variety of bird life, there are specially built hides to observe the birds. The park also has a large number of marked trails for walking and cycling within the park.

The 250 stall Wednesday Market occupies the adjacent street and provides light entertainment and great bargains.

The recently installed wooden Promenade stretches south to Torrevieja or north to Guardamar where you'll find large shopping centres, theatres and concerts, museums with both towns having excellent beach front restaurants and nightly markets.

For keen golfers there are 3 award winning Golf courses within a fifteen minute drive of the apartment. It's also a great place for biking, people often hire bikes then bike along the beach to Torrevieja in one direction or Guadamar in the other direction. Alternatively there is a boardwalk stretching to Torrevieja, and service roads at the side of most major roads that are really quiet and virtually empty.

La Mata is on the eastern part of the Costa Blanca and as such has some fantastic sunsets.

A £50 cleaning fee is payable at resort, when checking in.

Why MaryGee chose Alicante Province and Costa Blanca

We decided on this apartment as it is in a very friendly Spanish village, with an easily accessible airport close to the beach.

What makes this apartment unique

It benefits from being peaceful, but with plenty of restaurants and bars and you are only a bus ride away from the impresive livelier port and city of Torrevieja.

The bus stops every half hour on Calle Mayor (just round the corner) 1.35€ per journey - long or short. There is also a boardwalk along the beach which ends up at Torrevieja. Keep fit enthusiasts love to jog or run along this boardwalk early in the morning,watching the amazing sun rises, later on in the evening, stunning sunsets reflected on the sea.

Enjoyed our stay in La Mata every thing close at hand. One small criticism lack of pots and pans the addition of a 2 tier steamer would be very useful Tony.

Notes:
Village square near church newly flagged and modernised, with shaded areas in which to relax and several amenities for small children. La Mata is one of the best areas in Spain for biking well away from traffic. For the more energetic there is also challenging bike riding in the mountains. We have a stair gate in the apartment.keep fit enthusiasts can walk, jog, run along the boardwalk in a morning all the way to Torrevieja, lots of bars and some shops line the way. The sunrises and sunsets over the sea are stunning.

Nothing to fault Nigel is the rock being able to do the transfers two and frow from the airport

Been using this apartment for the last 3 years it's just perfect for amenities and the beech spotless clean plus the TV is finally working but I will be back because it's so convenient for a easy holiday apartment .has most things only problem if you are bad on your feet it has to many stairs this year my daughter and husband come and they loved it but as I did say before Nigel next door is the 4star plus any problem he is there! not that we had no problems at all .la mata doesn't change we no all the restaurants and bars all resonbley priced I call it home from home

Very good

We had a lovely time in the apartment it’s not too established yet but the place is central to all amenities, Restraunts and bus routes.

We ate pretty much all over the resort nice places within walking distance, the food was very nice and really reasonably priced.

The beach is really close and was quite busy for September, the weekends more so, the pool is used Daily mainly by the locals but not too noisy.

It is very quiet in the apartment at night making a good nights sleep thankfull Bonus!

Great location, all amenities provided but parking an issue

Great location close to the beach. Apartment contained everything you would need. Good communication with owners and detailed instructions. Parking in summer can be an issue, especially on a market evening / day. People would block access to your car on nearby roads, parallel parking and meaning it was very difficult for you to get out. The pool was a little small and you couldn't really take chairs to sit around the pool due to it being small. All in all though, a great stay.

I must say though that we've never had a problem parking, but we usually go out of season, however the Spanish Council are moving the market to a five minute walk away, so that should help to eliminate the problem. The swimming pool isn't very big, but we just use it to cool off mainly, and then enjoy a cooling drink while we watch from the apartment balcony. Lovely time away

We had a really lovely time at the apartment for our holidays. It was spotless on arrival and Nigel was there to greet us and show us around.

There are plenty of cooking utensils in the apartment for making meals, the kitchen was lovely and very modern.

The beds were comfortable and everyone slept fine throughout our stay.

The balcony got the sun for most of the day and was used most of the time for eating breakfast and having a few drinks in the evening.

The pool at times was very busy with locals and we found it hard to relax and let the kids play when it was busy.

The location of the apartment is very good, you are literally 1 minute from the beach.

We hired a car so we could explore the area more, its not really needed but we felt that by having one we could venture out to different restaurants etc.

Nigel next door was amazing and a fountain of knowledge for advising on were to go with the the kids, he even helped me out when I got the car towed away and impounded.

Just on a side note- be careful when cooking a large meal as the electricity can trip, we found that if we had 2 hobs and the oven on it would trip.

When we've been at the apartment there has never been another soul in the pool ever and only those in our complex have a key to access it, so I can only think it's been because of the intense heat it's been so full. As for the electric in the kitchen it is typical of the Spanish system I'm afraid especially if the air con is running at the same time it is a safety device. Great family holiday

I`ve stopped counting how many times I`ve been in this flat. Since my last visit kitchen cupboards has been changed. We`ve enjoyed a swimming pool (not so crowd like in a hotels), beaches not crowd and beautiful as well. No big hotels and pubs with loud music.We went to look at a flamingos (just pass this big motorway). I hope I`ll back next year.

Przestalam juz liczyc ile razy bylam w tym mieszkaniu. Od ostatniej mojej wizyty zostaly wymienione szafki kuchenne. Basen i plaze piekne i niezatloczone jak w duzych kurortach, brak duzych hoteli i glosnych pubów. Po drugiej stronie autostrady mozna dojsc do punktu obserwacji flamingow. W przyszlym roku mysle ze uda mi sie wrocic w to miejsce.

A Super Break

This apartment is excellent. Gets great sun on the balcony up to early afternoon and then you can move to the roof terrace where you have sun all day.

The views from both the balcony and roof are outstanding.

Recently recent new kitchen is excellent.

The neighbour and key holder Nigel is brilliant, shows have everything works etc and gives good advice about things to do.

Would definitely stay again and plan to contact owner next year, when we retire for a minimum 6 week let.

The beaches at La Mata have held the European Blue Flag for several years, for cleanliness, water quality and safety.

Adjacent cafes, bars, and nightclubs give you plenty to do. A five minute walk to the the high street shops, restaurants, bank, bars, internet cafés and local Supermarket 'Dicost Supermercado'. 'Ozone Centro de Ocio', just a few minutes drive from La Mata, has ten pin bowling alley, Cinema, Restaurants and Discoteque 'Palacio del Caribe'. If you need a larger supermarket Carrefour Supermarket nearby in Torrevieja is only a ten minute drive.

Wooden Promenade recently built where you can walk south to Torrevieja or north to Guardamar.

Torrevieja water park is one of the biggest water parks on the Costa Blanca and is only ten minutes drive away..

Less than an hours drive from Murcia and Alicante Airports it is a perfect location for family holidays.

The area is also fantastic for golfers as there are 3 golf courses within fifteen minutes drive.

250 Stall Wednesday Morning Market on next street

Bathing in the salt lagoons around La Mata and surrounding Parc Natural de La Mata creating a Spanish nature reserve, which attracts a huge variety of bird life. The park also has a large number of marked trails for walking and cycling within the park.

Within a 20 minute drive of a La Mata villa lie three golf courses, Torrevieja Golf Course, Elche Safari Park, Playa Flamenca Go Karting track

La Mata Waterwheel Park s known in Spanish as Parque del Molino de Agua and contains a beautiful flowing stream, brick walkways, pine forest, sand dunes and benches.

There is a regular bus service running from La Mata to Torrevieja every 30 minutes at 1.35 euros whether your journey is long or short.
