Perfect "Glamping" location

  • 2 of 5

First of all we love love love location. PERFECT for relaxation. Being at the lake with boats is AWESOME. Dining space inside and out geeat along with grill.

Puzzles & board games nice to have. Kids barely watches TV. We were here 10 days and were able to enjoy them.

Being here 10 days with 6 people we had to laundry. Having a W/D was nice. However, it was hooked up wrong and ruined a load of "cold" water only. We informed the owner they said it was 2yrs old and never had problems. They didn't offer to reimburse any $$ ruined clothes & their repairman said "no this washer is new and hooked up wrong" when i told him what owner had said.

The home was built in 1967 (according to paper in laundry rm) & looks last updated in 1980.

Couches look ok but springy when you sit on them.

We viewed this home as glorified camping because you have to bring everything-towels (bathroom & kitchen) bath rug (tile in bath very slippery with wet feet) sheets for beds, hand soap, body wash & shampoo.

The kitchen has sponges and paper towels NO dish rag or dish towel. The kitchen was equipped with bare basic supplies-s/p shakers, cooking spray beside pots pans & dishes.

You have to walk down stairs and go under house about 6 ft before you can standup to walk to laundry/utility rm. There you have to on water for house. So arrive before dark.

The owners respond right away and checked on us when we first arrived. They not horrible owners just things need to be updated and certain things the Guest should not have to be bothered with. When your flying having to pack a suitcase just for bedding and towels is a pain.

The W/D are nice to have and didn't mind going out and around but having bend down & carry a basket of clothes is a pain.

July 4th Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Le Petite Chalet Blue for two weeks and had an incredible time. It was my wife and I and our twin 13 month old boys. I grew up in Highland Lakes so I was very happy to find a place that was worthy enough to introduce my hometown to my boys and wife. We made countless memories on the back deck, down at the dock, in the water off the dock, and on the full fleet of boats/rafts Micki and Ron provide. One of my boys even took his first steps at the house! We'll always have a video of a rainy day at the lake with him toddling around for the first time!

As owners Micki and Ron were very attentive to our needs and checked in frequently to make sure everything was going alright. During 4th of July Weekend, we were able to squeeze in 10 adults, 2 teenagers, and four toddlers into the house so it definitely can fit an army. My wife's side of the family is still talking about how much fun they had and can't wait to come back to lake!

I really look forward to staying here again! Thanks Micki and Ron!

Perfect Way to Ring in 2016

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for New Year's; it's a lovely home with gorgeous views of the lake, thanks to all the windows. It's been a warm winter so there was no snow (just flurries); I can't wait to go back when there's snow! The house is charming, quiet, warm, stocked with everything we needed, and my dog was in heaven, running around outside. Great walking route around the lake. Convenient to get to; about an hour away from home but I still felt like I was "away" on vacation. Owners are kind and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Getaway Perfection

  • 5 of 5

It was my boyfriend's birthday and I wanted to get us out of the commotion for a quiet weekend by a lake to relax. This is really the perfect location. It's a little over an hour away from Hoboken, easy drive, easy to find. The pictures don't do the house/lake justice. The owner's are the nicest people and they are easy to get in touch with if you need anything. They called to make sure we got in okay and if we had any questions. We were able to bring our dogs who hadn't run around off of a leash and out of a dog park in about a year. The dock is great and we managed to get the paddle boat into the water to scoot around on the lake which was a blast. This is the kind of rental that is great year round. I hope to be able to stay here again!

Could Not Have Been Happier

  • 5 of 5

We moved from Jersey to Florida several years ago and have been coming back every fall to visit friends and family, and enjoy the fall foliage. Our rental this year, La Petite Chateau Blue, was by far the best ever. When you walk through the door, you immediately notice the spectacular views from the wall of windows overlooking the lake.

The open floor plan allows you to take in the views all day long, and my husband and I enjoyed the two seating areas in the living room. The house was immaculate and stocked with essentials. Long leisurely days sitting on the deck and fun filled days enjoying the kayaks, canoes and paddle boats. The owners provided essentials such as toilet paper and paper towels, and were very responsive and caring. They obviously enjoy being in the hospitality field and went above and beyond to make our vacation the best ever.

I would highly recommend this charming mountain home with spectacular lake views.

La Petite Chateau Blue is truly our Home Away From Home and we have already put in our deposit for next year. Could not have been better. Thanks Micki and Ron.

Fabulous....look no where else..

  • 5 of 5

My family and I are very picky people. The Lakefront Vacation Home is a wonderful place to take your family on a getaway or vacation. Its extremely clean, well maintained, has all amenities, well stocked with bath, kitchen and bedroom necessities. Each year I vacation, the owners have upgraded something to make your stay even more enjoyable than the last. The home is located in a beautiful area in NJ with the lake only a hop and skip away right in your backyard...take a peak out of the huge windows in the sitting area and you will experience breathtaking scenery. The owners of the property, Micki and Ron, are very responsive to questions or concerns...this is our 3rd year renting and we not only consider them the landlords but our friends as well...they are that kind of people. The Lakefront Home is just minutes away from shopping and anything else you may require if you have forgotten something. There is plenty of storage in the basement, the closets are rather big, there is a pantry and a basement with a working washer and dryer. What else can you ask for? Folks, if you are looking for a Lakefront Home, look no further....this is the place to be!!!
