The property is very nice, in a moment start to rain at the kitchen and we put a few buckets on the table, besides that, everything ok.
Don t expect anything about the manager, never a help , but the property and the city, lovely.
We have never stayed at a most unwelcoming place ever. We arrived at four thirty in the afternoon at the end of October to a freezing cold damp smelling property. We all had to keep our coats on for the first hour till the place warmed up I was concerned that my one year old grandson was getting colder by the minute. The place was a mishmash of furniture the bedding felt damp and floors in bedrooms weren't clean. As for the DO NOT notices it was laughable on the upstairs landing was a wall covered with laminate do not instructions wish I could include photos in this review. Every room had no smoking signs indeed in some rooms including the bathroom there were more than one. My daughters bedroom had a lamp with no bulb the bathroom had a picture that was hanging off wall which was just at my one year old grandsons height as he walked past it he touch it and it fell on him fortunately my daughter stopped it from landing on him fully . My eight year old grandson sat at kitchen table to have a drink and as he leaned his elbows on it the whole top tipped off thank goodness we were hugging our hot drinks at the time to keep warm or he could have been badly hurt. There was even a laminated do not sign about what not to wash up in the sink. The bedding felt damp and the things we had to do so as not to lose our damage deposit was laughable. I'm not sure what kind of people mrs manning had staying in the past but we found all the notices insulting that she would think we would treat her property with such little respect. Fortunately we were only there for two nights but having to go back to this place after a nice day out was not a pleasant thought we stayed out of it as much as possible. I e mailed mrs manning straight away about the kitchen table and the picture in the bathroom so as not to be accused of the damage I got a short email back saying 'thank you for the information' no kind of apology. before leaving we were told to turn off every radiator I felt sorry for who ever was in after us thinking about how cold they would be. It came as no surprise to find that the property was up for sale something we didn't know till we got there. One thing and only one thing in this properties favour is the location and I did get my damage deposit back promptly, the one star I have given is for location.
I have been lucky enough to travelled around the world which means I have had to use a wide range of different accommodations where I have been treated amazingly.Unfortunately in this occasion, I need to write a negative feedback about Patricia due to the fact she's just decided to take my deposit accusing my family for something that was already broken before we checked in. Her lack of proffesionalism is unbelievable as she wouldn't admit that the maintenance issue was before we steped in the property, therefore why do we need to take the blame?
I would like to warn to every potential guest that if you're looking for an understandable, professional and fair host, obviously stay away from here
The house was lovely and fitted 8 people really well. There are a lot of rooms and a lot of seating. The actual living room has a few sofas and table/chairs, as well as a TV with in-built DVD player. There is a hairdryer, washing machine, some toiletries and very basic food items such as tea/coffee. There's enough pots/pans etc given and we were able to cook up some full englishes on the mornings. The bedrooms are a nice size with sufficient space to unpack. The front house door locks automatically behind you which is a nice safety feature, and there are extra keys for each bedroom if anybody is booking wanting privacy or with a group they don't know very well. The location was a short walk from a number of pubs/cafes and a short drive from the zoo/aquarium.
Only downsides are there is only one shower/bath for 8 people and there is no garden/outdoor area.
We only stayed one night but found the apartment clean and tidy with all the requried items available

The house locates at a very convenient road. The house was very spacious with sufficient facilities. To us surprise, there are even chopsticks found at kitchen drawers. However, the carpet is too old and dusty. As travelling with young children, we expect better hygienic condition.
