The Lookout St Ives
About The Lookout St Ives
We live in The Cotwolds and have 3 grown up children. I grew up in Camborne so Cornwall has always been a big part of our lives and with the family connection we are frequent visitors. The joy of running The Lookout is that we can share our love of Cornwall and St Ives which has always been a special favourite. The picture is taken on the walk from St Ives to Zennor. Rosie & Simon

Why The Lookout St Ives chose Saint Ives
We love this house because of it's airy yet comfy feel. As soon as you walk in you are drawn through the Hall to the stunning views from the Kitchen. You can further enjoy the views from the Master Bedroom and the large sitting room at the top of the house. There is everything you need for your holiday with a well equipped kitchen which is spacious, stylish yet functional. The peninsular unit is positioned so that you even enjoy the view whilst washing up! There are wooden floors throughout the ground floor which add to the light open feel as soon as you enter the House. There is plenty of room outside for alfresco dining, barbecues or simply relaxing on the sun terrace. Another huge plus is you can either walk to Porthminster Beach or to the centre of town easily within 10 minutes, yet it is tucked up and away from all the bustle of a vibrant and popular seaside destination. St Ives has so much to offer: spending sun soaked days on the beach, browsing the art galleries, superb pubs and restaurants and fantastic Coastal walks. You could take a day trip to the Scilly Isles, or the Eden Project or any number of National Trust Houses and Gardens, not least St Michael's Mount or Trencrom, a Neolithic Tor Enclosure from which you can see Godrevy Lighthouse on the North Coast and St Michael's Mount on the South. St Ives is a joy to explore with many winding paths and steps criss-crossing the town. You think you might be lost then you suddenly you see the Church Tower and get your bearings back. St Ives is a destination for all the family young and old. It is a romantic place with an extraordinary light which draws artists and artisans from all over the world, You can find peace and a place to party, no-one is left with nothing to do. It is a destination you get hooked on and will want to return to time and time again. The tide is ever changing, but the beauty of this place is constant and timeless.
What makes this House unique
One of the main benefits of this house it is light and spacious with panoramic views. The fact that it is also within walking distance of beaches, shops and restaurants and has parking is a huge advantage. You can spend the whole week in St Ives, or go out on a day trip without worrying about where to park on your return.

This is a fantastic property, very clean and beautiful location.
Everything you could possibly want .. highly recommended
Delightful holiday home. Fabulous location.
My family and I stayed at the Lookout for a fortnight and were left wanting for nothing. The house was fantastically equipped and had a stylish and modern finish. The beach was a short walk away, and although it was a steep climb back, it was easy for one of us to use the car to drop us off/pick us up.. My daughter particularly enjoyed the football table in the living room! The French windows opening onto the patio from the kitchen/diner allowed us all to sit outside and enjoy a glass of something after dinner. There was enough parking outside the house for 2 family cars - something really of value in St Ives. Thank you Rosie for a delightful stay - we can’t recommend it enough!!
We all loved everything about the Lookout and didn't want to leave. Fully equipped ,great location , comfortable and clean.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay everything good thank you
Thank you for your review. So glad you had a good time and I think you enjoyed better weather than normal for this time of year.
Excellent house with wonderful views
We had a short break in a clean, practical well equipped and very comfortable house with wonderful views. It is on a hill but we found no problem with the walk and the 2 who had slight walking difficulties easily found a taxi for the return journey. St Ives has many beaches and an attractive town with lots of walks around. Many eating places and of course the famous Cornish pasty. Unfortunately our scilly isles trip was cancelled due to bad weather so we will have to come again.
Thank you for your review of the house Jane.
I'm sorry to hear your trip to the Scilly Isles was cancelled but we will welcome you back any time.
All the best
Lovely house and great location
We’ve had a great holiday in St Ives. The house was a lovely size for my family, well kept and clean. The views across the bay to Godrevy are fabulous.
The location is great for St Ives town and the parking space an added bonus. We could walk to all the beaches easily but we did drop kit at Porthmeor beach one day and then drove the car back to park at the house.
If you’re fit and healthy the walk back from town takes about 10mins up a fairly steep hill but we you can also catch the bus and they’ll drop you at the end of the road if you ask them too. Was like door to door service.
Neil & Tricia we’re very responsive and helpful with any queries. Will definitely consider staying here again if in St Ives.
Hi Alison, thank you for the glowing review. I'm so glad you had a good holiday and found everything to your satisfaction.
We look forward to welcoming you back to The Lookout in the future.
All the best
St Ives has something for everyone from lazy days on the beach, cliff walking to browsing round the Art Galleries - not least Tate St Ives
