The Albufeira Lagoon is about 5/6 km (11 minutes by car). Very quiet waters for babies and children. It has several restaurants and beach bars. Possibility to rent paddle, kitesurf and windsurfing equipment.
You can also visit the beautiful city of Setúbal 30 km (30 minutes by car), which is situated on the north bank of the River Sado, with wonderful views of the Tróia peninsula. It is worth to visit the Livramento Market, in the center of Setúbal, one of the most beautiful in Europe and with stalls of fish, fruit and vegetables of incomparable quality. You can also take the ferry cross the river and visit Troy or take a boat trip in the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve (overlooking the Arrábida Natural Park) and watch the resident colony of about 30 Dolphins (Roazes Corvineiros) .
We are also just 35 km from Lisbon and 40 km from its International Airport, in the course of which you will have the opportunity to cross the beautiful Bridge over the River Tagus and enjoy a wonderful view over the City of Lisbon.
A cozy space where you can enjoy the silence of the countryside where nature is highlighted by its simplicity and beauty, a short distance from beaches and you can opt for the beautiful bay of Sesimbra with calm waters or Meco beach, for those who like more agitated waters, or Foz beach where the intense smell of algae overlays a whole view of sea and rock or even the Ribeiro do Cavalo beach with more restricted and difficult access, but worth for the beauty and serenity of the landscape that the beach transmits. You can also opt for historical visits, where the Cape Espichel, being the second most Western point of Europe, has in its Sanctuary and its horizon the murmuring of the immensity of the sea that surrounds it. You can also observe the famous footprints of the dinosaurs for a more detailed visit. From the Castle of Sesimbra you have a privileged view over the entire village of Sesimbra, the Serra da Arrábida and its Natural Park. Around it you can visit several typical villages with unique characteristics, with their own languages that define themselves almost as dialects, along with a healthy coexistence between peasants (name by which the rural inhabitants are nicknamed, by the population of Sesimbra and "pexitos" by which are called the inhabitants of Sesimbra, by the rural populations).
