About Christine Cellier-Clarke

This house used to be a farm run by my great grand parents. My grandad didn't want to take over as he was in the army, so it was taken over by farmers. First Mr et MrsVala, then to M et Mrs Cellier who ran the farm for years. I spent most of my holidays as a child in La Touche and loved the freedom and beautiful surroundings. The current ecury used to shelter a horse, 7 cows, 4 goats, a couple of pigs, rabbits, chicken, geese, dogs and cats. It is now our game room where the kids and us love to chill.

My daddy died in 2001 and my mum looked after the house very well. They renovated it together and made it this beautiful, fonctional, warm, family house. It is a lot different than when I used to spend my holiday as we didn't have toilet or central heating then!!

Christine Cellier-Clarke purchased this house in 2011

Why Christine Cellier-Clarke chose Saint-Agrève

My mum has passed on the property to me as she knows how much John, my husband and Paul(16), Etienne(13), Juliette (8) and Winnie(our 3 years old springer spaniel) love it. All we want is to keep the house alive and be able to keep looking after it, so by letting it, we should able to achieve this.

The house is well situated, close to the village so it is a good spot all year around.

What makes this house unique

Close to village, great walks from the door step, game room with pool table, pinball machine, table tennis, football table , wifi, great value.

Sejour de 2 semaines en famille

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Merci encore

  • 4 of 5

Presque parfait

  • 4 of 5

Super Gite !

  • 5 of 5

La Touche is situated 1050 meters high just out of St Agreve, a typical French village with patisseries, butchers, charcuteries, a weekly market and plenty of beautiful surroundings for all kind of sporting activities. Horse riding, sailing, International golf, climbing in the trees (accrobranche) are all within 5 minutes drive. You can cycle or walk in the beautiful forests on our door steps. You can hunt mushroom in the surrounding woods or pick wild blue berries. It is also a good place to stay during the ardechoise, (a cycling event with international reputation). Equiblues festival is 15/20 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive. Lac de Devesset( Ecole de voile francaise. French sailing school) is 5 minutes drive or 15 minutes cycling. le Chambon sur Lignon is 10 minutes away. Le Mont Gerbier des Joncs where the Loire takes its source is 25 minutes drive. Rally monte carlo comes nearby. Le Puy-en-Velay is 45 minutes drive. We are 1h40 minutes form Lyon airport which is very well served with weekly flights from the UK and car rental available. 3 hours from Montpellier, 55minutes from Orange or Valence, 2 hours from Grenoble. The G7 is 2 minutes down our house and is one of the way to St Jacques de Compostelle in Spain. This is South of France at 1050 metres high so plenty of Fresh air and nature and when the ideal place to escape the canicule of the valley.
