About this property

Welcome to our home. We hope you will enjoy this spacious 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom 2 storey house. Maximum 4 guests. We are located in the heart of the town of Sidney BC. Beacon Ave is 2 blocks away where you will find numerous shops, restaurants and bars. Sidney is known for its coffee shops and book stores.
The main floor comprises living room, kitchen/dining room, master bedroom with ensuite and powder room. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms to choose from, main bathroom with shower and bath, laundry room. The sunny south facing patio has gas fire and natural gas BBQ. We are close to Swartz Bay ferry terminal and Victoria airport.
The Washington State ferry is 2 mins away. This ferry travels between Sidney and Anacortes USA. The City of Victoria is only 30 min drive. There is an excellent bus service to downtown Victoria. The world famous Butchart Gardens are only 15 minute drive away. Whale watching excursions are available close to the Pier.
There are numerous local wineries close by and waterfront walking paths to enjoy!

Christmas in Sidney

We stayed here for 15 days over Christmas. Excellent location, easy access to all the shops and restaurants in Sidney. Definitely recommend the Sidney Bakery, Serious Coffee and 3rd Street Cafe (although possibly not great for the waistline!). Close to coastal footpaths. Less than 10minutes to both the Victoria Airport and Swartz Bay ferry terminal. Owner responded very quickly to any queries. The kitchen was really well equiped. We were able to cook a full Christmas dinner easily and do some baking. The owners even put up Christmas decorations for us, which was very much appreciated. Detailed instruction book on how things worked in the house was provided, which was really helpful. Just for awareness, the house is under the flight path to Victoria Airport, just like most properties in Sidney, but that's balanced against all the other benefits of the location. Lovely house in a convenient location, would be great to stay here again.

Victoria Retreat

Beautiful home in a good location. Airplane noise at all times of the day and night can be annoying. Within easy walking distance to the ocean, shopping and restaurants.

Beautiful Home in Sidney

We stayed at Maggie and Alistair’s beautifully-decorated home for two weeks this summer. It is in the perfect location for both walking to town or to the water, and we especially enjoyed having morning coffee in the outdoor seating area.

The perfect place!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home! We stayed for two weeks and wished we could have stayed longer. This home is very well equipped. We cooked most of our meals here and lacked for nothing. All three bedrooms are lovely. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the linens pristine! Our hosts, Maggie and Alistair were very responsive to any questions we may have had. The location is perfect. It's a very short walk to the shops and to wonderful ocean walks. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful house close to town

This is a very well equipped and beautifully maintained house just a few minutes walk from the center of the delightful town of Sidney. We especially enjoyed the private patio with its seating and beautiful flowers. The owners, Maggie and Alistair Mackay are gracious and helpful.
