Looking for a cottage in the heart of the Swiss Alps nestled in a ring of mountains at 1,700 meters above sea level. Here you will find a haven of fullness in a cozy and warm environment for lovers of high mountains. The 'Dacha' is ideal for summer and winter vacation with family dreams in optimal comfort and modern conditions.

Conveniently located near the village center (400 m), the house is in a small hamlet of chalets without vis-à-vis where adjoining neighborhood. Built in 2007, it was built with quality materials in a spirit of respect for the architectural traditions of mountain. La Datcha offers a clear and impregnable view on surrounding mountains and has a southern exposure.

Easily accessible, the cottage offers two adjoining private parking spaces. In winter, these places are plowed regularly. Once installed, all the services and shops are within walking distance.

The 'Dacha' is organized on three floors for the comfort of all. The traffic plan was carefully thought out to the residents living is practical and logical even when the cottage is occupied in number.

A comfortable input (large closet, bench, hooks and toilet) provides access to a vast open space with a large living room, a dining room and a large open kitchen. A beautiful traditional fireplace in old wood and dry stone defines the living space of the dining room. Here you will find a very comfortable living space for all (80 m2), decorated with large windows offering plenty of light, great views of the surrounding mountains and with access to a beautiful terrace.

The central staircase in old wood, the centerpiece of the chalet, giving access to ground garden and upstairs. Special care was given to the sound insulation between floors in order to preserve the tranquility of all wherever they are in the cottage. At first, there are two large double bedrooms with individual bathrooms. Room 1: bed 180, balcony, desk, bathroom including bubble bath, large walk in shower and toilet. Bedroom 2: bed 180, bathroom including great design and toilet bathtub. The two bedrooms each have a plasma flat screen TV and plenty of storage.

The staircase leading to the ground garden opens onto a large space with access to a laundry room, a beautiful dormitory with 6 very comfortable beds and storage space, a TV area with a large screen and a convertible ( 120), double bedroom (160 bed and single plasma screen), a bathroom, a toilet and a relaxation area offering a modern and pleasant Tylö sauna and a wide shower.

You guessed it, the 'dacha' is ready to welcome you in comfortable conditions ideal!

La Datcha is 3 minutes walk from the station of the funicular which takes on the summer and winter Tignousa top (of the slopes).

A free shuttle service goes to funicular station and several other hot spots of the village whose house Prilett arrival of the homonymous track.

The circulation of vehicles inside the village is restricted to residents. This is especially nice for vacationers and reassuring for families.

In the village there are several restaurants, several bars, a well-stocked supermarket (firewood), bakery, sports shops (rentals), newsstands and tobacco, post office, distributor, tourist and ski school and some shops. The Bella-Tola Hotel offers quality spa and a bar and a cozy restaurant.

St. Luc is a lovely little sporty and family-oriented resort where the emphasis is on relaxation and pleasure to gather with family and friends for an unforgettable stay.

The linen (sheets and towels) are provided together with an explanatory brochure of functionality and a list of useful telephone numbers or emergency.

Another wornderful week

This is the second year we have rented Nicolas' chalet.

As with last year the chalet was in perfect order when we arrived and we immediately felt at home. It is important to know this really is the owner’s chalet and home and has the comforts and luxuries a home should have - this is not a high churn rental property.

Once again the communication and supporting instructions for the chalet were excellent. Nicolas is very responsive and whilst we didn’t need to contact him I know he is always available on the phone.

We were a party of nine this year – 4 adults, two teenagers and 3 children and the layout of the chalet worked very well with the large TV and bedrooms on the ground floor creating a perfect ‘den’ for the youngsters leaving a quite zone for the grown-ups upstairs.

We continue to love the village and the chalet and I would recommend it without reservation.

Nous sommes restés une semaine dans le chalet de Nicolas, qui nous a accueillit avec amitité, rapidité et generosité,

au bout de quelques minutes nous nous sentions chez nous dans son chalet,

qui a tout le confort, le classique, l'authenticité d'une maison de famille.

Il est idéalement situé à 4 mn du funiculaire, et sa vue sur la vallée est un emerveillement,

nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine à la Datcha.

Grand et beau chalet confortable aupied des pistes

Nous sommes heureux de recommander ce chalet dans lequel nous avons passé 15 jours de vacances. Pour les passionnés de ski il est idéalement situé ( 3 minutes à pied des remontées). La station de ski est très jolie et dispose de pistes pour les skieurs de tout niveau. Le domaine est grand et interconnecté grâce à des navettes de bus.

Le chalet se trouve aussi idéalement situé par rapport au village et aux commerces.

Pour ce qui est de l'habitation elle est confortable et permet d'accommoder 2 grandes familles tout en leur permettant de conserver leur intimité vu les 3 étages. Elle dispose d'un coin Tv agréable. Je trouvais par contre les pièces de vie ( cuisine , séjour et salon) trop petites et trop petitement équipées à mon goût. Petite table de salle à manger, peu de fauteuils pour se retrouver tous ensemble en soirée.

Vu les températures agréables en fin de saison j'aurais aussi aimé profiter plus de la terrasse qui bénéficie d'une vue magnifique. Mais celle ci n'était pas équipée à fin avril.

Mais ceci ne sont que des détails qui pourraient encore rendre le séjour plus agréable.

Owner's Response: Cher Monsieur, Merci pour votre appréciation qui est bien entendu la bienvenue et très positive. Si je conviens que le salon manque peut-être d'assises, cette option a été retenue afin de conserver un plan de circulation fluide. Je prends bonne note de votre remarque. En revanche, j'aimerais préciser que le plateau rassemblant le salon, l'espace dinatoire et la cuisine mesure quand même 70m2 et que la table de la salle à manger permet d'asseoir confortablement de 10 à 12 convives.Il est aussi vrai que l'espace terrasse, au delà des chaises longues mises à disposition, n'était pas équipé pour la saison estivale car en général à cette période de l'année le temps ne se prête guère à déjeuner ou dîner dehors. Je vous remercie de vos remarques qui devraitent me permettre d'améliorer mon offre. Cordialement. NK

Merveilleux séjour dans un chalet Suisse.

Premier point important !! Vous êtes accueillis par le propriétaire absolument charmant et disponible pour une explication complète et détaillée, répondant à toutes nos questions avec une extrême gentillesse.

Le chalet est formidablement bien situé et nous l'avons trouvé facilement, situé au coeur d'un cirque de montagnes avec une vue imprenable. Il nous a suffit de passer la porte pour comprendre que nous allions avoir un séjour résolument chaleureux et confortable dans ce chalet de grand standing.

Plusieurs mots me viennent à l'esprit pour décrire cette location. Confortable, spacieuse, lumineuse, luxueuse, chaleureuse, d'une propreté remarquable, commode et contemporaine. Le propriétaire a pensé à tout : une distribution intelligente des pièces, un plan de circulation fonctionnel, une insonorisation de qualité et des lieux de vie différents pour la bonne répartition de tous dans le chalet.

Il m'est donc facile de vous dire que cela fait bien longtemps que je n'ai pas eu le plaisir d'une telle location pour mes vacances au ski!

Ce chalet est sans nul doute à la hauteur de sa description sur le site. De plus je dois vous faire remarquer ici que rien ne manque : la cuisine est parfaitement équipée et moderne (même les couteaux y sont parfaits :) , du linge en abondance et de qualité, tout l'électroménager est moderne et fonctionnel. La convivialité y est de mise pour le plus grand bonheur de tous.

L' accès au ski est juste extra car tout proche du chalet. Le village est charmant pour petits et grands et l'on y trouve tout: des restaurants délicieux, un salon de thé et de détente extra, un hôtel avec son spa, des magasins sympathiques… Le domaine skiable est superbe et le hors piste… wahou !!!

Ce que nous avons particulièrement apprécié : l'après ski au chalet avec le sauna, le plaisir de se poser dans ce salon avec la cheminé au centre de cette pièce si cocooning. Les enfants ados peuvent se répartir, tous ensemble mais pas les uns sur les autres. Chaque chambre est dotée d'un confort absolu (salle de bain, wc, écran plat rangements). Très important, la literie est remarquable !!!

Vous aurez donc compris que nous avons été enchantés par ce séjour et ce chalet que je vous recommande vivement pour des vacances en tout point parfaites. Je remercie le propriétaire!

Alors, à vos agendas, car nous, c'est sûr, nous réserverons pour l'an prochain voir même cet été car les marches nous ont été vivement recommandées!!!

A beautifil chalet in a beautiful village

Nicolas, the owner, was incredibly helpful from first contact. In addition to arranging the chalet, he pre-booked ski's etc, ski lessons and introduced us to a very good catering company. The chalet is in perfect condition, effectively brand new, and comfortably accommodates 2 families (4 adults and 4 children) and could easily take two more slightly older children or adults so a nanny / chalet girl would work very well.

The chalet is over 3 levels with bedrooms on the top and bottom floors and the large open plan kitchen, dining room, living room in-between. The top floor has two large bedrooms, one with balcony and both with large very well fitted bathrooms. The bottom floor has two large rooms (one double and one with two bunk-beds - creating a perfect 'dorm' for younger children) with bathroom, separate loo, TV room (very large TV) and sauna / shower room and laundry / services room. The layout means children and adults don't disturb each other when watching movies or going to bed and whilst traditional in style the chalet has concrete floors reducing sound even further. All of the bedrooms have plenty of space to move around and good cupboard / storage space. It is clear the chalet is a home first and a rental property second. Equipped with underfloor heating, very good laundry room and fantastic sauna / shower room it was always a pleasure to get ‘home’. The homeliness is most evident in the whole feel on the large living room which is beautifully furnished, has stunning views and a large central fireplace. Getting home for a cup of tea / large drink was a real pleasure. Our children are slightly younger and we ate in two sittings but the dining table would easily sit 8.

The chalet is about 300 meters from the finiculaire (and maybe 600 to the bakery) taking you to the main lift area meaning from leaving the chalet at 9am we could easily get ourselves and 4 small children on the slope and ready for ski school for 9:15. With good snow you can ski to within about 150 meters of the chalet on your way home (red run).

I have known Chandolin and St Luc for 20 years but not visited for about 7 – it remains unspoilt and truly beautiful, ideal for families not in search of lots of après ski partying. I would recommend the chalet without reservation for either two families or 3 couples and we will certainly be returning next year.

St. Luc (http. // Www. Luc st-ch / en / Regions /) is a beautiful mountain village nestled in the Val d'Anniviers and perched at 1,700m altitude. Located on the left bank of the Rhone, above the town of Sierre, the village is facing south. It dominates the villages of Vissoie, Grimentz and Pinsec while offering a breathtaking view of the Alps, Lake Geneva, the Rhone Valley, Crans-Montana (in front) and number of peaks over 4,000 meters, including the famous Matterhorn. In the early twentieth century, more than 500 people lived in St-Luc, but the difficulties associated with low mountain farm incomes caused a significant exodus to the lowland towns. In the early 70s, there were only 250 people faithful to their roots. Tourism development brought a breath of fresh air and allowed many of them to move back in and restore their homes according to tradition. Despite the development of tourism and infrastructure, the town retains still today all its architectural authenticity of yesteryear.

A funicular takes vacationers on Tignousa plateau where skiers of all levels will shine on the ski area safely. If the ski pass provides direct access to the field of Chandolin, it also gives access to areas of Zinal, Grimentz and Vercorin where a moving car is needed (between 20 and 40 minutes). And offer your children, grandchildren as teenagers the opportunity to take group or individual lessons for all levels (ski and snowboard) 9 : 00 noon every day of the week. For advanced skiers, the Val d'Anniviers is recognized for the quality of its off-piste recommended in the company of a mountain guide whose references are available from the Bureau des Guides (http: // www. The possibilities for excursions and tours are countless such as (to mention only these): the Pfynwald, Lake Combavert and Tounot the Moiry dam and ascension to the Moiry Cabin, the dam of Grande Dixence, the farms of St. Bernard and walks with the dogs at the col du Grand Saint Bernanrd (Barry Foundation), queens of the fighting on the mountain pastures, the castles of Sion, in the Valais vineyards and cellars, baths and thermal baths of Leukerbad, the Gianadda foundation in Martigny, overflying the Swiss alps by helicopter, canyoning, via ferrata, etc. not to mention the daily activities offered by the Tourist Board of St. Luc.
