My parents had a lovely time in your great apartment, it was so easy to get into town and they loved the restaurants nearby. They want to go back next year too. TP.

All the family had a great time, we got to see the best of Dublin and loved walking on the beach and hav a barbeque in 'Our' garden one really hot evening.The apartment was spotless and was very well equipped. We will be recommending you to our friends. KS.

We were delighted as soon as we arrived, the location is second to none and the apartment was large and nicely furnished...it was exactly as described. you can see care has been taken by the owners to ensure guests enjoy their stay.

Great location in a wonderful area

You can not beat this location to fully explore Dublin. The village is marvelous and Friendly. The owner is responsive and kind. The sea is directly across the street. The apartment is efficient and cozy. The only thing it lacks is a dryer. We stayed for 6 weeks and would recommend it.

Comfortable, Quiet and Clean ...

We stayed in the apartment for a week at end of July. The unit is on a quiet street corner. The entrance is on the side street. There are plenty of curb side parking space. The small garden makes it feel like a townhouse rather than an apartment. It's very quiet at night away from the center city noise. The nearby village is within walking distance with nice restaurants, pubs and a well stocked supermarket. The locals are super friendly and explained to me in details about how gaelic football works while i was at a pub. The center city is actually very close. i rented a car. it took about 10-15 minutes to drive to Temple Bar area depends on traffic, and the bus stop is 1 minutes walk from the apartment if you don't have a car . The apartment is very clean and the VRBO description is very accurate. It is actually better and feels more spacious than the pictures would make you believe. The kitchen is well stocked though we rarely cooked. The building and garden is well maintained. The Sandymount beach is right across street and my wife loved the morning walk along the beach. The entire neighborhood feels very safe. We saw some teenage girls walking their dogs late at night. Iverna was very helpful and honest through out the booking process and was very responsive to our requests after we checked-in. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Well equiped and very clean apartment

A friend and I stayed from July 19 to July 27th. The apartment was very clean and well appointed and includes a little patio and garden space. It is in Sandymount, or Dublin 4, so it's not walkable into Dublin's City Centre. This was actually a beneifit, since Dublin is very crowded and busy late into the evening. Getting a cab back to the apartment is easy and the village is what every tourist thinks of when they think of Ireland, plus you can take your morning walk along the sea. Walking to the village green and having dinner or a drink at Ryan's Pub or Mulligan's is just a wonderful experince that should not be missed. The people are very friendly and the food is good. You truly feel like you are in Ireland. There is a bus line and it works well going into town, but if you wander far afield from the bus stop, it's tough to find the station for the right line to come back. Uber works here, but it's a little different than in the U.S. My only complaint is that there is no electric coffee pot. I never got the hang of the French press to get a decent cup. I know, spoiled American. I would definitely go back and rent from the same owner. She's very nice and accommodating.

A little misleading time advertised to get to the city centre, it was about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the Dart railway station then about another 10 minutes to the city centre.

The accommodation lacked some basic user instructions, how and where to turn on the hot water for example. could have been a bit cleaner, also had an ant infestation in the bedroom which we had to sort out. Overall though an ok place to stay. and may stay again if we were in the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I am very glad you enjoyed the area and of course we would be delighted to welcome you back ....at Repeat Guest rates of course. Regarding the length of time to reach the city the Dart is definetly not a preferred option from here . Which is why we recommend guests use the bus! The bus Also takes 10 minutes  and as the bus stop is almost next door far more convenient .  This is the reason we give bus numbers time table and  schedule info etc. on the key codes and  information sheets we email each guest.  DART is super to reach coastal areas such as Howth or Greystones etc lovely scenery and a great day out...weather permitting! There was indeed a  most unusual flying ant swarm  affecting some of our neighbours also.. Another guest alerted me and I had  our gardener sort it out at once. I am sorry you did not  mention it  as he would of course have looked after your bedroom also. You had my  mobile number and as it says I am available 24/7 . As we want our guests to have the best possible experience I will always assist promptly.  Likewise with the hot water controls. This hasn't been an issue with previous guests as it's a basic system. But we will indeed act on your recommendation and add instructions to the manual. I look forward to welcoming you back to Dublin in the not too distant future I hope. Warmest wishes  Iverna Hynes

A pleasant stay in Sandymount

We found the apartment well equipped, very comfortable and well located for exploring Dublin and area.

The shower is awkward and not worth the effort.

Literature mentions an airport bus that stops along the Strand. That bus no longer goes along the Strand.

This apartment is a real gem!

This is a terrific apartment in a lovely seaside neighborhood. It is comfy and welcoming and very convenient to city center. Bus lines, the train and taxis are all readily available, and it's a nice walk to the city center as well. Sandymount village is quaint and had a number of lovely eating and drinking establishments. The kitchen is well equipped , and the bathroom is well appointed as well. The wall heater was quite welcome on a few chilly days. The washer was great to have, and the laundry yard/garden was lovely too. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this apartment.

Sandymount area is ideal for families , the beach has miles of sands to play on and a friendly , atmospheric village green just minutes walk away. With colorful shops and cafes , art gallery, etc and one of the local pubs O'Reilly's has a gorgeous sunny beer garden with a resident Golden Labrador 'Molly' who is happy to share her space with other dogs!!
