The house has a kitchen and large living room, four bedrooms, bathrooms, terraces and garage and is designed by a local architect. In a sheltered south facing terrace winds, and through this facade is located is flooded with light throughout the house, through the windows located in the double internal height.
The lounge is the main, very bright and spacious room, with double height windows with modern design and sloping walls. Facing South has access to hanging on a village street and the kitchen located above the middle level terrace. In the living room, like the rest of the house some unique pieces by local artists are included.
There are several environments in the classroom, with large armchairs, reading areas, fireplace, wi-fi and many details that you will enjoy this stay.
There was really nothing not to like about Edu and Bea's outstanding and original property in the lovely fishing port of Viavalez. The use of natural light and fabulous interior design make it a very special place.
Edu is the most considerate host and made our stay really enjoyable. Recommendations and reservation were welcome from a local with a real passion for the area. There is an abundance of things to do in the surrounding area if the weather is good or bad.
Recommend 100%.
This property is fantastic. Initial response from owner is so quick and helpful. This service continues all the way through with holiday suggestions, meeting us in village and checking up with emails. Owners are great hosts. The house speaks for itself- it is stunning and a great place to relax in a beautiful location. This was our first visit to this part of Spain and we will return to this house and area of Spain again. Perfect location to visit this unspoilt area of Northern Spain.
This is simply the nicest house we have ever rented. The house is very tastefully decorated in a modern style with plenty of attention to detail (simple things like the quallity of the tiling, the doors,..). The village, though quiet, is very pictoresque and while we were there, a restaurant opened in the port. The house itself is very relaxing and, as it is on a pedestrian street in a quiet village, it is a great place to recuperate, Our two boys soon got the run of the place and were playing football with the locals while we sat our and drank the odd beer. We were in fact Edu & Bea's first customers so there were one to two things to sort out (like the Kettle and maps but nothing major). Edu and Bea are great hosts and made us feel very much at home. I would recommend the house to anyone wanting to visit the northwest and the house can easily accomodate 2 families.
Our family of four together with our friends ( a family of three) stayed in Edu and Bea’s stunning property in the quiet village of Viavalez. The house was discreetly tucked into a hilly road and from the outside looks cosy and unassuming. You step inside a spacious and contemporary home that has been sensitively restored and full of all modern appliances and beautifully chosen furniture. Apart from the hiccup of internet connection (which Edu patiently helped us solve) it was a wonderful stay. Because the bedrooms are on different floors no one is disturbed by others during the night. The village is in a perfect location to explore the terrific beaches along the coast or go further inland into the mountains. We hope to return soon. By then – I hope Edu has bought a kettle
"The Postoca" is a boutique holiday rental found in Viavélez, Asturias, a beautiful fishing harbor house full of history, which was shipyard tall ships, whaling port and the birthplace of the great writer Corin Tellado before. The Cantabrian Sea winds between the levees of this natural harbor to meet the Rio Vio.
Our boutique home is the ultimate in contemporary luxury vacation rental homes with unique design, impeccable decor, in a magical and tranquil pedestrian village and a nearby full of options to explore: secluded coves, picturesque villages, beaches, nature reserves, surfing, fishing, ancient Celtic forts, caves, gastronomy, hiking, mountain, golf, local festivals ... and only an hour from the airport.
"The Postoca" is the name for one of the many hidden corners on this stretch of the west coast of Asturias, in northern Spain. Between forgotten and protected the coast still allows you to enjoy secluded beaches and wild nature.
On the north coast of Spain and in the west of Asturias, which is undoubtedly the most charming fishing port of all the Cantabrian Cantabria: Viavélez. The white houses of sailors with their brightly colored doors and windows, the quiet pedestrian streets leading to the viewpoints and the harbor, fishing boats and fishermen on the pier Viavélez make a post-card.
It seems that time has stopped in Viavélez carefully preserved masonry piers, when sailing was the shipyard's busiest timber port Asturias and later. This feeling of returning to the past contrasts with its excellent location allows walking to La Caridad, or be in a few minutes Tapia, Navia or even in neighboring Galicia.
