During Peak-Season Aft rents Sun-Sun from July 1 - Sept 2.

Aft cottage is a two storey cape cod style home and rests 1000 feet from a very large clean deep red and white sandy beach. The cottage faces the Northumberland Strait on the southernmost tip of PEI with the warmer waters and calmest seas on the island. We have 3 cottages on 20 acres and a completely private lane. If you love the beach, you will be right at home here. There are 4 changes in the tide every day . At high tide you can swim or walk along the shore and search for sea glass and other treasures. When the tide is low you can swim, and take advantage of all the sea life on the sandbars and tide-pools. You can walk for miles on the bare sandbars at low tide and dig some bar clams. There are plenty of chaise loungers, small wooden tables, and umbrellas on the beach to catch some shade on hot afternoons.

Aft cottage is a 3 bedroom cape cod style home with an open concept living/dining rooms. Two bedrooms have a double bed, and the third bedroom has a single over double bunk-bed. We have a single blow-up mattress for any extra guests. A view of the ocean from all points of the south side of the cottage. We have a 3.5 star Canada Select Rating.

We are 1 km from Plough Through The Waves visitor information center with a liquor outlet and shops. Service stations, banking institutions, and grocery stores are located in Montague, a 15 minute drive North. Two golf courses are within 15 minutes.

Wood Islands Seafood and Takeout has all your seafood needs with live or cooked lobster, sandwiches, chowder, haddock, clams, mussels, oysters, scallops, salmon, etc. at 84 Lighthouse Road at the Wood Islands Wharf.

Quiet and homey

My little family and I enjoyed our stay at Aft house. Darryl was a great host and made sure we were comfortable. There is a short little walk to the ocean - minutes long. The weather was great and there was so much to do and see! Highly rate our stay!

Beautiful Home minutes to the ferry to Nova Scotia

This is a lovely place to stay on PEI. It is less than 5 minutes to the ferry back to Nova Scotia. The property is beach front and that is shared by 2 other cottages. There are lounge chairs and a hammock on the beach, so it is comfortable to spend time relaxing there and the water is warm enough to swim in. Now for the cottage. It is casually, yet beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to make meals, including spices, flour, oil, etc. There is a fireplace in the main room for chilly evenings. Lots of towels, beach towels, blankets, etc. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. We met Darryl when we checked in and he was available to give advice about that area of PEI. He is the perfect host! We would love to return to this place.

Wonderful home away from home

The house was just as described, clean, and our host, Darryl, was exceptionally generous and helpful. 'Aft' is a little off the beach but just a short walk away. Such a beautiful spot, quiet, and close to the ferry. We highly recommend Darryl's properties to anyone looking for some peaceful leisure time. If we head to PEI again, we will stay here again.
