About the property

Very spacious and cool with three double beds, two bathrooms and a separate WC

Eden Apartment has been furnished to a very high standard and is clean, crisp and modern. There is a large fully fitted kitchen with a big fridge freezer and all the modcons you could want! The kitchen even has it's own balcony. The lounge /dining room is open plan with a lovely leather settee to sit in comfort and watch the large flat screen TV, two balconies with table and chairs and a large solid wood dining table which will seat six.

The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom, superking sized double bed and a walk in wardrobe. The other two bedrooms are bright and airy – both have a top quality double bed and fitted wardrobes. All bedrooms have their own private balcony. Eden apartment also has a cot and a high chair.

Eden Apartment is fully WiFi enabled which is unlimited. Eden Apartment also has a Play station 3 so bring your games!

The balcony from the kitchen has a BBQ and Electric grill so you can enjoy cooking and eating outside.

There is a lovely communal pool with internal steps. The shallow end is 1m and gradually dips to 2m at the deep end. There is plenty of terrace and grass surrounding the pool to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Beach towels are provided so you don't have to try and squeeze them in to your Ryan air luggage allowance!

Apart from the great weather, beaches, fresh air and wonderful food, there are many other things to do during your holiday in the Algarve.

If you are interested in a more adventurous holiday, there us a Go Carting circuit at Portimao and even the opportunity to do a parachute jump from the Alvor Aerodrome for those looking for an adrenalin kick!

If you are a beach fanatic then Eden Apartment is the place for you - you are close to the coast and therefore many lovely beaches including the award winning Alvor beach. It does get busy in July and August but, as there is so much of it, if you are prepared to walk more than ten paces from the end of the walkway, there is plenty of space. There are many restaurants, bars and cafes to enjoy along the stretch of coast and recommendations and directions will be in the information pack in the Apartment.

Whether you want to enjoy the culture, the many sporting activities or visit the local towns, go to theme parks, water parks, a boat trip to see the dolphins or, do some bird watching – there is something for everyone. Comprehensive information can be found in the pack at Eden Apartment.

Ideal for Alvor, Portimao, and Golf.

We were not strangers to Ma Partilha having visited the area many times over the past 11 years but this was our first visit to the apartment of Jose Fernandes. It was spacious, well furnished and clean. We had two grandchildren with us who were 6 and 9 and they loved the pool which was just to the rear of the property and a change from Alvor's massive beach. The apartment is on the first floor and perhaps is not ideal if your children are very young but it is air conditioned and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The communication with Mr Fernandes throughout the booking procedure was very good and he was obliging.

Ma Partilha is between Alvor and Portimao and whilst you can walk to various supermarkets and restaurants it is a lot more convenient if you hire a car to access all the delights of this location particularly if you are aged, or have children with you.

A downside to the premises is the television which only has two English speaking news channels but, thank God for kid's I-pads.

Would I revisit the apartment? Definitely. It is in a modern recently developed area and within 100 yards you will find Mel and Canela a local a bakers which makes the most delicious rolls and cakes in the Algarve.

Try it out you will love it.

Second stay but no less impressed

We stayed in the Eden Apartment two years ago and intended returning last year. Unfortunately though (and deservedly so) it was fully booked last year - possibly partly due to the very favourable review we left after our last stay.

Some of the other reviews mention barking dogs and problems with opening the communal entrance door but don't pay any attention to them. There is a dog in the apartment below and it does sometimes bark, but in our experience never for terribly long and never late at night. As far as the communal door is concerned, while it can sometimes be a little tricky (with the key needing a bit of a shoogle), it never took us more than about 10 seconds to gain access.

The apartment itself is pretty much perfect for a family holiday. It is modern, spacious, practical and clean It is situated in a residential development occupied largely by locals, about a 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) from the centre of Alvor. It is therefore not suitable for those seeking a 'party central' venue - be aware, lairy behaviour simply won't be tolerated by the other residents.

We did have a bit of an issue with the fridge freezer. Initially the freezer wasn't operating properly and Sonia (who's your point of contact out there) nursed it along for a couple of days, it started turning itself off. I contacted Sonia the afternoon we realised this wasn't going to be resolved as easily and by 8.00 that night a brand new fridge-freezer had been delivered and was ready to be plugged in the next morning. We couldn't have asked for better service.

We love going to Alvor with its abundant supply of top-notch and reasonably priced restaurants. While we went into town most nights, The Chicken Tavern round the corner from the apartment is fantastic and great value either to sit-in at or take-away - don't look any further down the menu than the Chicken Piri-Piri!

We found the patisserie next to The Chicken Tavern (Mel & Canela) an ideal stop for a coffee and pastry ('cafe com leitche' and 'pastel da nata') on our way back from walking to pick up our hire car from town in the morning - a walk we quite enjoyed, although not suitable for young children or the elderly due to the lack of pavements for the first 10 minutes or so.

The bottom line is this is a really great apartment which to my mind is the ideal base for a lovely holiday in the Algarve's jewel in the crown - Alvor.

Nice stay!

This was my first time staying here and also in Alvor. The apartment itself is really nice, everything was clean and modern. Here are the pro's and cons:

Pro's:

Large spacious apartment

Clean

Good air con

Jose and Sonia were very helpful and friendly

Nice large balconies

Nice pool

Con's:

Front door lock downstairs is faulty ( we were stuck on 4 occasions trying to get in as key wouldnt work in lock)

Need an extra air con remote as there are only 2 remotes for 3 bedrooms

There are lots or noisy barking dogs that ruined the peace and quiet by the pool

Neighbours upstairs are very noisy walking round with heels on and dragging chairs along the floor.

Overall:

I like the apartment itself but i dont think id stay here again. Id probably go somewgere closer to town with less barking dogs about. Its a shame really as its not the fault of the owner. PLEASE GET THE FRONT DOOR LOCK FIXED THOUGH FOR THE NEXT PERSON! :)

Very comfortable accommodation. Home from home.

We have recently returned from a 9 night stay in this apartment. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. There is plenty of space.

Jose responded quickly and was very helpful when the washing machine broke part way through the week.

The accommodation was conveniently placed for the town of Alvor, which was a 25 minute walk away, and 6 Euro taxi fare back (uphill).

The only problem which we couldn't resolve was a neighbouring dog barking in the early hours of the morning.

We had a car so were able to travel around the lovely area. We were thrilled to see the storks with their young in their nests.

We will definitely consider returning in the future

A pleasant holiday home from home in the sun

We as a family group of 3 couples have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Eden apartments.

The property whilst being both modern & spacious was found to be clean and well maintained throughout, fully equipped with all the usual fixtures / fittings / utensils & equipment you might expect to find along with many extras, all as listed within the details.

Following communication with the owner Jose, we arrived in the early hours to a supply of fresh fruit and sufficient basic food to last us for breakfast, until we could find our bearings and local amenities.

Although there were only a handful of shops, restaurant - bars that were open within the vicinity of the apartment, we found these to be of reasonable value & quality.

The apartment is situated centrally between the towns of Alvor and Praia Da Rocha, these being 25 - 35 minutes walk away, 6 - 9 euros in a taxi (6 seater). Within either of these resorts can be found numerous restaurants, bars and nightlife.

I would fully recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a quiet relaxing break, doesn't mind a slight inclined walk to the nearby resorts, or is intending to hire a vehicle.

Eden Apartment is perfectly located just 2km from the quaint fishing village of Alvor and 2km from the vibrance of Portimao. Within a delightful 15 min walk you are on the vast sandy beach of Praia de Vau with sunbeds to hire, beach bars and lovely clear water.

If you want to travel a little further afield then there are lots of things to do within easy reach of Eden Apartment - the buzzing nightlife in Praia da Rocha with restaurants, bars and clubs to dance the night away. There is the water park, Slide and Splash, in Lagoa - just a short distance away and Zoomarine near Albufeira. If you are interested in golf, you can walk across the road with your clubs to Pestana Alto Golf Course and there are a further 4 championship courses within 10 min drive.

The main airport is Faro and there are many airlines that fly into Faro. The most popular budget airlines are Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2.com, and Monarch – all of whom have regular discounted fares. Although not strictly necessary, a car is recommended to be able to experience the beautiful area of the Algarve and all the attractions close to Eden Apartment. There is a local bus that stops outside the apartment and the local taxi service is very cheap and reliable.

Transport can be arranged from the airport to Eden Apartment should you require it.

Whether you are a group of friends, a family (or two) or just a couple looking for a bit of luxury - It is a luxurious apartment with everything you could want to make your holiday a perfect experience!
