What a delightful five days at this paradise in Uvita! I found the house first and then planned an 8 day vacation in Costa Rica around this very house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The pool was delightful and we never tired of the enchanting view. As many other reviewers have said, we did not see the monkeys but we heard them! The house was exactly as depicted in the pictures. The furniture was comfortable and the a/c was great in the bedrooms. The towels were fluffy and abundant. Beach towels and chairs were thoughtfully provided. It was warmer at times in the kitchen and living room but not a problem. You really want to sit outside and we found that we could do so at night and were not particularly bothered at all by the bugs there.
We hired Chef Royner (everyone calls him Roy) and he cooked us a fabulous meal (ceviche, whole red snapper, salad, rice and coconut flan!) which was served outside, We did the Jungle ATV Tour in the rain and it was a highlight of our stay as well! Christine was wonderful. She responded promptly to countless emails (I was concerned about Zika, Dengue etc). You should also know that in this house (and in many in the area) you can not flush the toilet paper in the toilet and must put the paper in a covered waste basket that is next to the toilet. I knew this was the case ahead of time and brought baby wipes which worked well. The wipes are also handy to have to remove the DEET repellent from your hands which you will want to apply when you are out and about in the jungle at even at the many outdoor restaurants. As for restaurants, we highly recommend Citrus, Exotica (both very gourmet) and La Parcela ( a modest place where the monkeys come many days between 4 and 6). One monkey actually showed up the day we were there at 6 pm right before we were about to leave!
Tom was wonderful! He met us in Uvita and led us to the house. He also responded immediately and arranged for a handyman to come to the house to do some minor repairs. He had a wealth of suggestions about activities and restaurants. Thank you for a lovely lovely trip! Gail B.
We're thrilled you loved and enjoyed Casa la Vista so much! You could stay weeks in our little corner of paradise and not see all there is to do and experience. We hope you come back and stay longer ;-)

I finally reached and experienced Nirvana!!
I don't know where to begin telling You,..... but staying at the Casa La Vista was the most relaxing and comfortable... as this fabulous home was in the midst of the Rain Forest/Jungle! Each day to wake up and hear the sounds of the Ocean, Birds (Toucans and Macaws) to mention a few and Monkeys both Howler and White Faced was amazing. Sitting up on a hillside this Home allowed us to see the tops of the Rain Forest and Ocean in the distance while sitting on the Observation deck which we did every day equipped with a Hammock!
This was the Main stay of most days to sit an observe the Beauty of Costa Rica's Jungle habitat doing e-mails, reading or playing games, but in the distance also watching a Sloth eating leaves as it hung from a treetop. You are able to use the wifi and communicate with those you wish back home and share the pleasantry of your Jungle abode. The zero edge pool was Wonderful with patio near by allowing for cooling ourselves each afternoon or sitting in the rain if there was a storm with incredible downpours. The Home was extremely comfortable with most amenities to make living there similar to the comforts of home as the showers were perfect and sleeping in bedding that was soft and Cool with Air Conditioning. The town was small with friendly natives that worked in stores and restaurants and understanding our limited Spanish. Fresh Pacific Ocean Fish was easy to purchase and cook ourselves or food from the Market was just like being back home. I truly recommend a trip to Uvita, Costa Rica for a bit of quiet and Comfort in the Casa La Vista home to help you Relax to the Maximum! Cheers
Happy guests, happy life!! We love Casa la Vista and Uvita too!! So glad you saw the Howlers, sloths and toucans, they are constantly coming to the house and the observation deck is the perfect vantage point. Hope to see you for your next vacation so you can experience even more.
Pura vida ;-)

Beautiful view & incredible animal watching!
We loved our stay at Casa La Vista. The pool was perfect and relaxing after days out exploring. Ventanas Beach a must. ATV tour a highlight! Chef Royner was amazing and we wished we had him for every meal!
We saw sloths, howler monkeys, iguanas, macaws, toucans all right off of the porch.
Evenings are very warm in main living rooms.
Construction a little disappointing all day every day.
Hi Noelle, We're so glad you loved Casa la Vista, Playa Ventanas, our local tours and private chef. The covered observation deck and dining area next to the pool is a comfy vantage point to view all the wildlife. Our guests tell us they wind up spending all their time outside...having their coffee and meals out on the deck so they can enjoy the ocean breeze, ocean and jungle views, and see the animals and birds up close. There is ac in all three bedrooms, however we ask our guests to keep the bedroom doors shut, turn on the 4 ceiling fans in the great room, and open the windows and sliders so the cool breeze can flow through the house. There is a home being built in the neighborhood, but we anticipate completion very soon, and the workers stop in the late afternoon...most guests are out having fun, or at the beach during the day anyway. Hope you return to our little corner of Paradise very soon!!

As Nice As The Pictures!
We saw monkeys, Mcaws and parrots from the awesome patio! We were two couples and had more than enough room in the house but spent most of the time on the patio and in the pool when we weren’t exploring the Uvita area. The home was clean, well appointed, and modern. We really appreciated the beach towels, beach chairs, and washer-dryer. Tom from the Jaguar Property Mgt team was very helpful and addressed the minor issues we had and was easy to get ahold of. A few things that we recommend- 1. Arrive before 8:00 pm or you won’t find the house initially. After the first time, it’s easy and very close to town and services. 2. Gotta have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. 3. Do the Jungle ATV tour in Uvita. It’s the best, so fun and very safe. 4. ZIP line at the Osa Canopy Tour. I’m a 50-something woman with a desk job and I DID IT! The zip line guys were so helpful and fun. This house was the perfect home base for Uvita adventures. It’s as nice as the pictures!
Hi Lana, so happy you enjoyed your stay at Casa La Vista! There is so much to do in our area, and this beautiful home is so close and convenient to all the tours and activities! Hurry back ;-) Christine
Incredible Home in the Rainforest!
We were a group of 6 staying at Casa La Vista in February, the house was just as described and more beautiful than the pictures. The house is well equipped and very tastefully decorated down to the last detail, the owner has thought about everything to make guests comfortable at this home. The inside and outside space was stunning, bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The surrounding forest around you as far as the eye can see is buzzing with wildlife. We saw lots of birds, bugs and sounds all around us, our only disappointment was we didn’t see any monkeys but heard them most mornings. The house is far enough away you can enjoy privacy but close enough to the uvita town to get essentials. The drive up to the house is very steep and requires a 4x4, although we walked it daily up and down daily which was great exercise.
Jaguar were super helpful from time of booking to check-in to checkout, they are knowledgeable of the area and helped with local recommendations etc. We would highly recommend Casa La Vista and Uvita is a definite return in the future. Thank you to Tom and Christine.
Hi Irina! The owner has put a great deal of love and thought into Casa La Vista, we're so glad you enjoyed staying with us. The outdoor deck and observation tower is amazing! Pura Vida, Christine
Casa la Vista is a beautiful home in a lovely, private setting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, surrounded by the sounds
of the rainforest. The team at Jaguar made sure we were taken care of.
Hope to return again.
Hurry back Jeannie, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay! Christine
