Excellent holiday home.

  • 5 of 5

The location of the property is perfect. In the heart of the island so nothing is more than a 30 minute drive and many of the main sites a lot closer.

The house is less than 10 minutes from all of the major supermarkets in Newport which is ideal. Although it's down a quiet country lane so you certainly feel like you are in the heart of the countryside. The property is still easy to get to and the supermarket delivery guy found it easily and we were able time that with our arrival.

The house itself a converted barn so a little quirky. It is some of the quirkiness that is the main charm, and our eldest loved the raised double bunk in the eaves.

The space in the house was perfect for us as a family of 5. The main living area is open, light and airy and has pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The best part of the property however is the outdoor space. The door opens on to a massive flat lawn that was perfect for games. But there's also the orchard and plenty of open space to go wandering in. The added charm that over night the lawn becomes the playground for the local wild rabbits.

Martin the owner had a property next door so was on hand to assist with any questions we had but made sure that he didn't encroach on our stay. He has a dog called Olly who was wonderful and our boys who can be nervous around dogs fell in love with.

The sign of a good holiday rental is when you know that if you return to the same area you will try to rent the same property. If we ever return to the island for another holiday my first call will be to Martin.

Great break with the family.

  • 5 of 5

We all had a great time here. The place is lovely- clean, well thought out and away from the roads. It is still within a close distance to get to the local shops by car but also surrounded by fields and footpaths to explore- next time we are taking our bikes!

The owner, Martin, is superb: friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We will definitely go back next year.

Lovely house in great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved the barn with the open and spacious feel and a cosy wood fire for the cold evenings. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on the terrace every day and the children enjoyed playing on the front lawn. The house is surrounded by nature with a lovely cycle path close by. The central location makes it easy to travel to any point on the island in a short time. Would definitely recommend to friends for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a very relaxing week here. The house has everything we needed and is in a great spot - really quiet but very close to the cycle paths. We have two kids and they had great fun with the oner's dog, Oli, who we will really miss and there was a great garden for them all to rampage in. Thanks again.

The perfect holiday retreat

  • 5 of 5

My family and dogs were made most welcome by Martin who explained all we needed to know.

The accommodation was spotless and comfortable, and with the barn being off the beaten track we had a perfectly peaceful and secluded holiday.

The walks around the area are superb for all abilities and our dogs had a ball! Venturing further afield we discovered just how stunning the Island really is.

We all had a lovely, peaceful break and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to friends/family.

Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you again soon
