Pictures advertising this property depict minimalist living - and it is! No rugs, warmth or cosiness. Kitchen utensils are adequate but only just. There is no advice regarding the renter bringing along their own tea towels, oven gloves ( to remove hot food from the oven!) or a tray to carry food from the kitchen a considerable distance to the dining area. We had to purchase these items. These items should be standard.
We were advised to bring our own bed linen - which we did. However, our bed linen was to fit a double bed and we had to make do on the night of arrival and shop the next day for KING SIZE sheets and duvet set . Communication is minimal. More information would have been helpful. We have not experienced these issues before with other holiday let’s.
There are one or two other issues which have been pointed out to the manage/caretaker.
The property is well equipped generally with white goods, comfortable good quality beds and bedding. It is geographically situated very conveniently for the main A149. - once you find it! The Lampsey Lane road sign is buried under a line of huge conifers! But obviously not the owners fault.
We enjoyed our short stay once the initial issues were resolved. We had some good long walks and enjoyed a good lunch at The Jolly Sailor, Brancaster.
We would rent 15 Lampsey Lane again now that we are aware of all the extra items required.
Heacham Short Break
Lovely property in quiet location, only a 10 minute walk to the dog friendly beach. Amenities also within walking distance (Tesco express, chip shop and a couple of lovely public houses)
