About Manuela

We are a couple married since 2004. Manuela is a lawyer and I am an IT and Purchase Manager in a small financial company. We are parents of two.

Manuela purchased this house in 1991

Why Manuela chose Paxos

This property was donated as a wedding gift. We are totally in love with it and the Island and could not image any better place to stay.

What makes this house unique

The first difference against many similar offers is that this is "our" house, not just a business. This is a love affair and our satisfaction is to know that our guests feel at home like we do.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Such a peaceful, romantic spot with a great pool. We have been thinking about it all winter.

We're still getting over the heartbreak of leaving Koukla! We were fortunate enough to spend 3 weeks at this amazing location. The villa was the perfect tranquil retreat that we were seeking. It more than exceeded our expectations from the photos and details on the site. The space and seating and lying areas around the house provide so many different opportunities to relax. The outdoor seating and dining area were our favourite hangout haven! We loved the authentic sense of the interiors of the house, and appreciated the personal touches and sense of a personal property. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked again immediately to return for even longer next year! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this villa to any of my friends and family.

Charming house in a peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at Koukla House. It is set in olive groves near the village of Magazia in a very peaceful location. The house is charming and has lots of character. There are several different outside seating areas and the swimming pool is large. The house was well maintained with a regular maid and pool service around 3 times a week. We loved the local restaurant 'Averto' and the bakery is great for delicious pastries (I dread to think of the calories!). It was very handy to be able to walk in to the village in around 10 minutes. The owner and manager both provided very good service. I would highly recommend this beautiful house!

Koukla House aka (also known as) paradise

  • 5 of 5

Stuart was awaiting us at the harbour, when we arrived on Paxos in the late evening. He presented us with a rental car and directions to Koukla House. Although it wasn't that easy to find the house in the dark, we made it.

The next morning, we were finally able to see Koukla House in all its beauty. Wonderful location, stunning interior and outdoor seating areas, an amazing pool and most importantly (for us): Silence and privacy.

Thank you Stuart for providing us with water and tea for breakfast. Your hospitality didn't go unnoticed and we felt very well taken care of and at home.

Another big thanks to our cleaning lady Matilda - you were unbelievably friendly and considerate!

The island of Paxos doesn't dissapoint. The small towns are charming and the harbours offer great restaurants, bars and cafés. The atmosphere of Logos is contagious. We found everything we needed, including supermarkets, post office and ATMs without any problems.

We definitely recommend the oldest tavern on the island, established in 1888 - The food is very authentic. We also recommend renting a boat (there are tons of rentals) and exploring the island, including many beaches, which were perfectly suitable for taking a dip in the refreshing and crystal-clear water. Lastly, we urge you to get a rental car for the time of your stay, because the buses aren't very reliable.

Finally, a huge thank you to Samantha for booking us cab rides, ferry tickets and the rental car. Both you and Stuart did an amazing job!

We will be back to Koukla House for sure!

A wonderful two month holiday in paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to plan a two month holiday on Paxos, where we had been on a number of occasions over the years and absolutely love it. We chose Koukla House because of it's obvious charm and peaceful position. The owner and Stuart, the property manager, were extremely helpful with the whole booking process. We arrived on 1 May to be met by Stuart at the port. We reached Koukla House and it is even better that we had expected. The position and views are wonderful and the house is very comfortable (especially the beds) and extremely welll equipped. It is a real home with a welcoming homely atmosphere. We were incredibly well looked after during our two months: the cleaner and pool man arrived discreetly and Stuart was always on hand at short notice and nothing at all was too much trouble. The outside entertaining areas are superb and the large pool has ample seating space around it and great views over the countryside to the sea. Paxos is magical and the village of Magazia is about a 15 minute walk with a new mini market, good tavernas and a great coffee/cake shop. All in all a wonderful holiday in a charming home. I would not hesitate in recommending Koukla House - we would ceretainly want to return. A big thank you.

KOUKLA is my Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Koukla is a very special place. Small but perfectly formed. It's simple and stylish with everything you could possibly want for a relaxing holiday. We have been coming to Paxos for 20years and there is no comparison to any other villa on the island. Cesare (the owner)and Stuart (the manager) both run this house in a friendly but efficient manner and if you're one of the lucky ones to nab a week here, as it's always booked up, you will not be disappointed.

Koukla House is located right in the middle of the island, so its an easy 10mins drive to practically everything. Very nice 30mins walk into Lakka through some of Paxos' most unknown & beautiful hamlets.

Located on the west coast of Paxos just a short walk from Kastanida is the small peaceful hamlet of Manesatika. Situated in one of the best areas of Paxos for walking & sunsets together with one of Paxos' sunset tavernas, you would be hard pushed to find a better area to stay. Stunning views towards Corfu & the Greek mainland right from the terraces of the house & its large swimming pool.
