Loved our stay.
The bungalow was very comfortable and close to the beach. The AC worked great and the furnishings were well kept. Management and staff were very attentive and gracious. We will come back.
I love it!
It was a great getaway. It was very clean, Close to the beach, restaurants and entertainment. I loved it and hope to come back again!
Right Sized for Two
Intimate yet more than adequate. Loved the semi private patio. Kitchenette was small. A toaster oven might be a nice addition. The bed was hard for our taste but certainly is good quality. I wish a small TV had been provided just to stay on top of the news. No recycling which seems an oversight. An additional mirror in the main rooms would have been welcome. Over all, loved it though and would stay again.
Neat clean quiet
We were very pleased with our studio room #10. It's a fantastic location and very neat and clean. Quite simple but adequate. Comfortable bed and great bathroom. Gary is a wonderful, helpful host.
We have rented cottages twice before from VRBO on Captiva Island. On both occasions, the cottages were substantially as described in the VRBO listing and accompanying photographs. Unfortunately, we are not able to say the same about the Juno Beach property.
The listing description say s “Quaint, Lushly Landscaped Juno Beach Bungalow. It also characterized the premises as “a private hideaway nestled in an enclave located, for those who want to be right by the ocean”.
The actual premises consisted of one of eleven units across the street from the ocean with large condos blocking the view. The only access to the beach is a long steep walk that was impossible for us to do. (We are 77.)
In short, this property was not quaint, lushly landscaped, a private hideaway or right by the ocean. We expected more than the equivalent of a cheap motel.
Despite our positive experiences in the past, we will be hesitant to use VRBO in the future.
I'm very disappointed with Carol's review. After hosting well over a hundred trips, this is my absolute first negative review. I welcome and encourage those reading this, to look at all of my reviews on the various sites and you will find this to be a first. Carol has misquoted, as my listing states, "A private hideaway nestled in an enclave of bungalows, perfectly located, for those who want to be by the ocean."
I never claimed to having one unit, as there are 10 rentals in total. The property is extremely private, hidden away and professionally and lushly landscaped as stated.
All of my pictures are actual and accurate, further, I've never overstated, nor exaggerated. In my description, I mention, "There's a private patio, with an ocean view". This is true. In being respectful, Carol is on oxygen full time and is extremely unstable on her feet. It is for this reason, that I accommodated her in a unit that may be accessed, without steps. Carol, could not know if the premises was lushly landscaped, as not once did she walk to the beach from her unit, which would take the average person, less than a minute. I put Carol in one of the top units, because she did not want steps, in order to access her unit. I old her she could also use a guest spot closest to the beach. Her husband told me she could not even go down an incline and needed beach access, without an incline and steps. Once I became aware of the severity of her condition, I offered to here husband to park at my home and use my beach access, as there was no step to the beach. Pleasing my guests, not gouging them and having integrity means very much to me. I hope that you see Carol's complaint for what it is, I'm sorry Carol didn't enjoy herself, as every single one of my other guests have. I stand by my description and my word. Thank you.
Great little place
I-95 exit Donald Ross, turn right on Ocean Dr. (A1A) then right on Surfside Lane, proceed to the top of hill, turn left on Hibiscus, go to the end, designated parking spot is on the left.
