A Great Stay
Our host, Marina, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The location was quiet yet within a few minutes walk of all the sites. The property was lovely with all the facilities we needed including excellent air conditioning and was beautifully, furnished/decorated in an authentic style for what was an original old building in the centre of Bologna. We felt secure and comfortable and would return and happily recommend to anyone who wants a proper Italian experience.
Lovely, Bijoux Flat in Centre of Bologna
We were warmly welcomed by Marina, the owner of the apartment, on our arrival. The apartment is in the second floor of a medieval building overlooking a central courtyard which ensured privacy and tranquility. The apartment had a large shaded veranda which was ideal for having a quiet seat and drink. Inside it has a kitchen cum lounge and is air conditioned although we did not use it. The bedroom and bathroom were satisfactory for our own needs. It’s proximity to the centre of Boligna meant we had no need of anything other than public transportation. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.
Absolutely the perfect choice! Lovely apartment and great location for exploring Bologna
We love everything about Marina and her apartment and wish we’d booked a longer stay. Marina treated us like family and welcomed us with open arms. She gave us bus numbers and piazza names so we could find our way from the train station. It’s a quiet apartment with a private terrace/balcony for early morning coffee. The apartment is full of art and treasures and feels like a home, not an anonymous apartment. It was perfect for two people. Centrally located—we walked all over the old town/historic center and always felt safe. The town was easy to navigate, but it was always nice to come back to the apartment to take a break between adventures. We’ll definitely recommend to friends. Marina and her lovely apartment made Bologna our favorite spot.
well organized, and very warm and friendly
Marina is a very generous hostess, discrete but available whenever questions may arise. We had a relaxing stay in her charming aparment, and a very rewarding time in Bologna. Marina provided a number of invaluable tips with regards to sightseeing and dining options.
We would certainly recommend this apartment to friends.
Amazing Stay in Bologna!
Marina greeted us with open arms, even after arriving home earlier that day from Greece. She is a very sophisticated, warm woman with a talent for decorating with charm. She went out of her way to draw maps to help us get to places we wanted to visit, including many shopping areas. We appreciated her kindness and helpfulness. The apartment is beautifully decorated, inside and out with a lovely place for two people to sit and enjoy wine, etc. The view of the charming buildings around the courtyard was fantastic. Very quiet area but as soon as you walk out the doors into the portico, you are steps from activity of all kinds. We took a cooking class at "Taste of Italy" by Maribel in Bologna and made the most amazing spinach pasta dough for our Bolognese lasagne.
Lovely apartment in Bologna
This apartment is small but very clean and in a great location. Near to the city center but quiet and peaceful. The bed is comfortable with nice linens. We had everything we needed for two people. We did not meet Marina but her niece Alexandra met us and was very helpful. The balcony is lovely and great for drying clothes. Washing machine works well. Do note that there is no lift and there are about 60 steps up to the apartment. Bologna is a lovely and historic city with great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and recommend this apartment.
